flue runs down wards??

You need to get out and do more wok if you think balanced flue boilers are a rarity.
I was not on about flue elbows coming off at 90 degrees i did not mention the word elbow.
Why would a balanced flue boiler have an elbow?? do you not understand the basic terminology of balanced flue /room sealed /fan flued
i was on about the outer flue ducts on the back of balanced flue boilers coming off at 90 degrees but then if you dont see many balanced flue boilers you might find that difficult to understand.

You where speaking about the majority of pre condensors .
Which where balanced flue no matter if you dont see them.

Perhaps your comment should have said.
There where some fan flued pre condensors that asked for the flue to be angled slightly downdwards

Was the original post talking about fan flued or balanced ? it was fan flued so why on earth did you bring balanced flues in to support your pointless post. which was wrong anyway !

Yes with all the verbosity I got that bit wrong and I stand corrected.

There may well be tens of thousands of balanced flue boilers out there, but there are hundreds of thousands of fanned flued ones.
I dont really know how you can comment on what I see in the course of my work, if you'd like to log on to the combustion chamber I can post a poll to see how many balanced flue boilers people work on, I presume you are gas safe registered to have such strong wrong opinions

Gasbanni . Your comment was most pre condensing gas boilers stated fit flue slightly downward .
Well vast majority of pre condensors out there where balanced flue not fan flued so i still stick with comment . Balanced flue boilers did not say angle flue downward

opinions vary

After all it took pages on how to undo a test nipple pages and pages on how to fill in a simple cp12 .
I see Lee had to explain properly the megaflo and wood burner after you got that wrong.
I see you have not posted any qualifications in your own city and guilds thread that is probably self explanatory
Getting brave again are we dangermouth.

Actually the thread on city and guilds was a poke at the thread whose got a degree and what in, I hardly expected people to have a city and guilds in hairdsressing. but perhaps my point was a little obtuse. yes it was, and when the posts started coming in I could see it had been taken seriously so decided to leave it. Had I put what I've got, to me It would have seemed like " Look at what I've got arnt I good" so i left it.

Lee and the mega flow ? offered a suggestion got unvented and experiance of solid fuel never fitted them combined but what immediately came to mind was how can you kill the energy source in an unvented fault condition. thermal store no prob but that wasnt the quesion. So it was a point I raised. Its absolutely a no no with agas and that point is correct.

That was a wind up and it worked. Touche!

So you are paying yourself 520 a day namsag? Well being the best gasman in Britain I'm sure your worth every penny and then some!

Gafanni as i said obsessed 4 replies to my one are you typing one handed as you think of me.

Dangermouth do you not understand the basics of being a self employed sole trader what you make a day is yours be it £520 / £2000 or £50 quid . I could also have put i will make nothing for 2 and half days for rest of summer making me the poorest gas man. If that makes you feel better.
Oh and try uses different terminology when you post under your other login .

Edit
gasfanni i see you cannot even set your poll up correctly for balanced flue boilers over in the CC as i said loads out there as the answers you are receiving confirm.
Perhaps you better just stick to your jack of all trades LPG work instead of speaking about stuff you dont have a clue about

Namslg true rattled off the post fast, I'm presuming some of those lads work for BG so they're servicng repairing maybe 8 jobs a day and seeing one or two bf. so accepted the poll should have had more thought.
Thinking about it I took a bf flue job out the other week. having said that I hardly see them ! and that cannot be disputed.

Have worked directly for a boiler manufacturer as a service engineer, and also a major manufacturer of gas fires and cookers.

I reckon you didnt like been proved wrong with your fast glib answer that was in error.

The fast glib answer was about balanced flue which was the majority i didnt mention FF.
So no it was not wrong or in error
Your answers in here and in the CC merely prove you dont have enough experience in the domestic market to know what boilers are out there.
Golf course calling must go.
