France. Why do you think this is happening?

Seems the left wing coalition are prosing a 240bn spending spree, higher wages, more civil servants, longer holidays and a 90% tax on the rich to pay for it.
Abandon ship.
And retirement age lowered to 35.

Fact is France now has an unstable gov and Macron's lot have the capability of forming coalitions.
The most votes in the left groups. They want to undo the retirement age change and increase the min wage. As most votes they also say they should provide the PM.

It seems they could also form a none political gov. ;) How I wonder but I can understand the aim if they did that.

What may well happen - no changes at all until the Olympics are over.

Austria next. Looks like they’ve had enough of immigrants too.
So similar wins in Italy who have had loads of arrivals. She finds all sorts of problems doing something about it.

However arrival numbers fall. Reason money to a couple of N African countries who try and stop them leaving via boats. This appears to have started before she even won an election.

Seems she may also be anti eu. Well most hear are now aware that this aspect is not as simple as some politicians say it is.

All good for votes. Migrants are a problem but has anyone really come up with a solution - so far no. Will Starmer have any effect - time will tell.

Visa migrants, Well here we need them. Caps placed on the numbers. 1st effect some universities have dire financial problems. Care etc and even wanting to come here may be next.

Yep. Immigration and asylum seekers were a contributing factor.

Everybody has had enough.

Do these have any real answers other than supporting Russia ?
Such parties, and I include Reform in this, do indeed have answers. Whether it's the answers the majority actually want is another question ...

I've said it before, be very careful what you wish for.

Even when it comes to legal migration, some say 'we're letting too many in!!!!'

As I've also said before, these are the very same people who'll then complain if the care home their nearest and dearest is in doesn't have enough staff, or the NHS etc.

Thick doesn't begin to cover it ...

Austria next. Looks like they’ve had enough of immigrants too.
When governments constantly blame immigrants for their own failings, it's not surprising if many of the electorate believe them, especially if those electorate are already racist.
Austria ... has no identifiable action plan, with the government actively promoting anti-Muslim discourse and policies. Anti-racism advocates within civil society face alarming levels of institutional harassment and attacks.
The government actively promote policies and views that create hierarchy between different type of racism and targets certain racial groups at the expense of other racial groups.

Yep. Immigration and asylum seekers were a contributing factor.
The party with the most votes are the party wedded to conspiracy theories.
Kickl's main rival, incumbent Chancellor Karl Nehammer of the ÖVP, has said it's “impossible to form a government with someone who adores conspiracy theories”.

Which demonstrates that the Austrian electorate are just as easily misled as the UK electorate.

Several of these countries are looking at off shoring these asylum claims

Afaik Italy all ready are ??? Starmer went to seek advice from Georgia (?) Maloney (?) on the caper :giggle:

seek advice
LOl Or see what they are up to. Their numbers had dropped but it appears nothing to do with her. Like all of her ilk she got herself elected by saying she would end the entire problem.
