i am talking about the uk white population being positively discriminated against to let the ethnics get into places they are not even qualified for
example
the police wanted more asians to join even though some of them where not up to standard they let them in INSTEAD OF THE WHITE PEOPLE who where more qualified for the job some of the ethnics that did get in didnt have a full grasp of the english language ?? explain that one to me please

slogger, I don't mean to offend, really...but it does sound an awful lot like when women wanted equal rights in the workplace and when it turned around (years later) now, a woman is hired before a man in many cases just to "balance" the issue whether she is qualified or not...same goes for ethnic groups also. I don't know what the answer is. But, I do applaud you for standing up for what you believe in......but sometimes it feels like you are standing on my neck to do it.....you might want to consider listening to someone who isn't quite as "loud"....you might find that you aren't by yourself as you portray sometimes.

OK then, I don't take sides as you put it. this is not a kiddies playground, it is a forum where adults can debate things.
I asked you a few questions. If you didn't want to answer them then you only had to decline.
OK you were born in the UK & you are white. Are you sure that the same goes for all of your ancestors? If you aren't 100% sure then you might not be 100% British or 100% white - it's a fact - get over it.
Next thing we know you'll be wearing a pointy white hood with eye holes cut out and carrying a burning pole!
Slogger, this country has had emigrants for over a hundred years, same as our countrymen ahve emigrated for over a hundred years. Is that too hard for you to understand? if people are going to come here to work and better their lives then why shouldn't they?
I have no problem with that at all. I do have a problem with people who come here to live on our welfare state or to use and abuse our NHS.
Many Asian and black people were born in the UK too - how can you send them back to 'their own country'? The UK is 'their country' and if they were born here then rightly so!

I don't totally disagree with slogger. I am talking about his view point, not in his deliverance. I do remember a time is this country when you paid your taxes and were law abiding and willing to fight to defend it, it counted for something. I'm not saying that it doesn't still. I'm not there (UK), but ironically it sounds so much like our civil unrest in the 60's. We were told to be open minded and change was good...and it is....but I think that it went too far over the edge, and now, it's not the same way and minorities became majorities and vice versa and I don't feel the same way....I'm not as proud and I guess I am ashamed and I feel cheated and I think Slogger (altho I won't try and put words in his mouth) may feel that the same will happen there....if that's the case, then I don't blame him for being upset.
