how would you uphold law and order?

"Keeping it on file assumes future criminal behaviour."

Only in your world ellal. The keeping of DNA samples doesn't actually assume anything of the sort.
You like to think that it does and seem hell bent on making us agree with your assertion. Have you thought of joining General Lee in his conspiracy theories yet?

What does it assume then?

But then you start blabbering on about your 'life in peril' - just the same as playing the 'terrorist' card...

Your life might not be 'in peril' (as you obviously know nothing significant), but when your information gets sold on, don't moan when you can't get a financial service, or are made to pay through the nose!

Rather an absurd comment, "Can't get financial services" because of a DNA database ?????? And you believe they'll sell this genetic information on?

Christ, I'd like to know what drugs your taking, or which planet you live on, because it's either one or the other. (or is it both)

I assume you believe that the DVLA haven't sold on any information too then?...

And still wondering what it assumes btw... ;)

What do you mean it assumes the former?
And why would I be a complete fool if I thought I was potentially innocent?
By keeping innocent people's DNA it does....

And anyone who thinks 'they have nothing to hide', is indeed a complete fool - and a liar!

Does these two sentences not contradict each other?

You mention "innocent" people in one sentence and then go on to say everyone is a fool and a liar for thinking they have nothing to hide.
So if you think that then how are they innocent?

For my own part I have no objection to my dna being put on a database.
Does that mean you still think I have something to hide and am foolish and a liar or alternatively I am an "innocent" victim of the state policing?

ellal your answers aren't answers... they're just questions !!!! you live in a society which by definition means you must obey a set of rules... you will no doubt go on about common law or high court rulings, but the point is.... two things...

you have to accept and trust certain things... like the law or the military (there are many countries where you can't i might add), they keep us in check.

and whether you are above or below the law.....

that gives you 4 scenarios:

trust law and innocent... me

trust law, but try to make from it... crims

don't trust law... and innocent (i.e. paranoid)... proabably you

don't trust law and a crim... throw firebombs at police during protests...

simples !!

Not at all...

'Hiding' your privacy from the state does not assume guilt...

Anyone who thinks that the state should know as much as they want about you is a fool....and anyone who thinks the state can know anything they demand about you is indeed a liar imo, as everyone has something they wish to keep private imo...

You forgot number 5...

Question what you are being told and don't blindly assume those in charge know better than you...probably beyond you, but many think the same!

And btw, that doesn't always mean 'firebomb throwing protestors' as you love to label anyone who dares to disagree!

well in the vast majority of cases, these people/positions do know better because they have research a particular issue, whereas when you're on the receiving end... you don't appreciate that.... for example... someone has researched drinking hours... and decided your boozer should stop serving at 11pm... whereas you, the punter doesn't agree, when it's 11:01 and you want another pint !!!!

Absolute b*llocks...It's exactly the opposite!

Those who make the 'rules' usually have to deal with a multitude of things with little consideration to the outcome of a single issue, as opposed to those who suffer the consequences..

i can see that some people might feel more knowledgeable.... but surely, doctors, dentists, councillors, sollicitors, firemen, binmen... know more about their particular field than you???????

You miss the point yet again...

Doctors know more about medicine...
Firemen know about fires...

But they don't make the 'rules' do they!...

(Councillors usually know f*ck all btw... ;) )

I'm just starting to wonder whether ellal has turned his house into a cannabis factory. That would explain the need for secrecy and the paranoia about anything legal. ;) ;) ;)

so you agree that experts know more about their subject matter than you? so what about rule makers? you know more than they do?

I've never claimed that those working in the field don't...

But I'll certainly argue my case about those who set the 'rules'!

Maybe you'd like to post all your personal details on here then?

After all, no need for secrecy about something that's 'legal' is there?... ;)
