It’s Rishi.

Yay! We have a new leader! This time a coke head who likes to distance himself from working class people. This will go well.

What I find irksome with the whole thing, with every thing of the nature, is that there always seems a strive to carry on as we have - "get back to normal" - find more ways to carry on consuming to excess, when we'd be better served by focusing on consuming less.
MOST of the population are a drain on it. Last I saw the % contributing was 45% but I'm sure it has dropped. "We" are getting older.
Yer can't carry on like that unless the producers produce more.
Trouble is, everyone these days feels "entitled".

From the extreme of someone who has 6 kids, all while on benefit, wanting a monster telly and Sky and three dogs and and... on up.

Everyone has a choice!
Orwell's "proles" are perhaps today's "trolls". There's only so much crap a fellow wants to put up with.

Only thing I can see fault with him is the fit of his suits.
He reminds me of the Dezo Hoffman photographs of The Beatles in their Pierre Cardin suits.

Excellent comment. I was only saying on here the other day that most people are conservative at heart.

He's a man of the people surely? MP for a North Yorkshire town so he must have had a lot of down-to-earth experiences; freezing mornings, milking, pubs, markets etc. Genuine Northerners that Rishi and his wife.

There are numerous benefit thieves but they are not a massive drain on the country. 1 of the big corporations tax avoidance figure for last year makes the benefits budget look like crumbs... Because it is

Nothing to do with thieving.

Only thing I can see fault with him is the fit of his suits. They could do with another inch or two's length in the arms and legs. Apart from that, yeah, seems okay to me.
Something about Rishi puts me in mind of Tony Blair.

Now the Tories have done the bleedin' obvious and appointed the bloke they should've elected two months ago; is now the time to remind ourselves this is the same bloke who's one of the architects of this financial f***up.
He helped to break the economy, but can he fix it?
"O! Rishi O Rishi!! we love you but there's only 14 months to save the country!"
(to paraphrase Flash Gordon)

But is he now in a better position to help his wife dodge her taxes?
