The Russians that I have met and whose families have always lived in Donetsk/Donbas tell me a different story. In their words, "it has been civil war since 2014 and before." And when I asked they said they considered themselves Russian, not Ukrainian. And my Ukrainian builder friend who enjoyed a bit of skiing in west Ukraine right before the invasion (instead of staying back and complete my house) tells me another story but he is far far from the Donbas. He was riled up and ready to go back and fight. Boris Johnston/Truss/Wallace told us a story, and the US something or other, the French and the Germans another, and so on.

Understanding what? Are you suggesting that Europe is swimming in gold? That they do not have an energy crisis? That their fuel bills have not shot through the roof? That their every day prices have not increased? That they do not have serious supply issues? Or maybe Covid only hit the UK and spared the EU? Please mr Einstein explain it to me.

very simply, a lot of our problems, were blamed on the immigrants. A big reason for brexit.

we left the EU, and guess what things are still tough, if not tougher. So it must be dawning that the foreigners were not the cause of our problems.

nobody has ever said the EU was perfect, but most sensible people realised the real underlying problems were and still are, our own.

Yes, they have got issues too, they had them before too. But do you think we are better off out ? Then please explain why, and ensure you include the foreigners part.
