Legalising cannabis

Only you would think the controls would be identical! I was making a point which went past you! :sneaky:
You are the one that assumed the controls would be identical:
Lets legalise knives, hand guns, assault rifles etc etc....better control will make things ok!!!
Oh, you can walk down the street with them? Like you want to do with can abis etc?
You need to remember your previous posts.

Yes, decriminalise it (Cannybliss) and allow it under controls and license, like alcohol, tobacco, etc.
It needn't be associated with smoking.
In the case of medical weed it isn't just a case of decriminalisation and control, but removing the psycho-active compounds, THC, to produce CBD weed, a tolerable compromise that can be taken in a tincture, smoked or ingested. Gangs are more likely to produce xtra-xtra strength dope, with more THC than regular weed for customers who are more likely to want a faster, stronger hit. I'd make that stuff a Class-A drug in the same category as Cocaine and Heroin.

Cannabis was made illegal in 1928. Prior to that it was legal.
Good point, alcohol prohibition laws were repealed while laws that made cannabis illegal were retained.
Why was that.

If it was controlled and licensed it would have health warnings, and be labelled, like tobacco and alcohol.
E.g no strength, low strength, mid strength, contains.... whatever, etc.

So, if it's safe for adults but dangerous for children, why not let adults consume it? Like alcohol, which is similar but vastly more dangerous.
The illegal trade is unregulated

And feeds money to organised crime

It isn't even taxed.

We have the worst possible option.

There’s a link between temporary psychosis weed smoking and pre disposition to schizophrenia in adults. The incidence of random murders by people who meet these criteria is too frequent.
