Loads of Albanians

Why are the boats coming from France ??
Best advised you ask the French may be
it's far more obvious than that. Similar problems exist elsewhere as the crossing isn't too far and conditions can allow them.

Noseall along with few others in here could dip there hands in there pockets and take an Albanian migrant and give em lodgings ??

That's not how it works. The people in favour of largescale immigration don't suffer the problems it causes like overcrowding and social problems. They're happily ensconsed in their ivory towers, looking down and telling the plebs not to be so uncharitable.

Currently it costs the tax payer £1.5bn a year. According to recent articles 60% are from Albania and many are not claiming Asylum but slipping in to the Albanian organised crime network.

You're ignoring the elephant in the room: Brexit. The Tories resolved to reduce immigration, not codify, sanctify and endorse more to come to our shores.
Isn't it strange how now having barred the usual EU workers from the UK, the nasty party are now thinking about importing workers from other places...

Predominantly from countries that brexiteers would probably shudder to think about (due to skin colour?), but just maybe some from lesser known European places reckon it's worth a go to enter via another route?

'Project fear' is indeed turning out to be reality!

One wonders when (or if) brexiteers will finally fess up and admit they got it very badly wrong!

Really? oh I know they are hiding how many there are or numbers got in some how or the other. In respect to mafia it suggests they have no need to use rubber boats and likely to have other ways of getting people here

whoops forgot - some have been granted asylum.

Home Office figures released Thursday revealed 2,156 Albanians were recorded arriving in the U.K. in the first six months of 2022, out of a total of 12,747 people — compared with just 23 Albanians in the same period of the previous year.

But even those figures fail to capture the most recent summer spike. The department said the total number of Albanians to have arrived so far this year is now close to 6,000 and still rising quickly, with nearly six out of 10 migrants in small boats now holding Albanian nationality.

I see that Liz truss remarked in a recent speech

That she does not know if France is a friend or foe

Good for her

Macron responded with some
Allie waffle ???

Yes it’s obvious the French are assisting the boat crossings ;)

Every single one of the illegals crossing the channel illegally in an attempt to enter the country illegally are illegals
As I explained, it's perfectly legal to travel to UK by any means and apply for asylum.
Because you declare it to be illegal does make it so.

The asylum application tends to come later.

Of course, they can only apply when they arrive, not before.

For clarity, it is possible to apply for asylum in the first safe country you enter, ...
If they apply for asylum in another country, they are applying for asylum in that country. They may not want to stay there, and they may be subject to similar persecution as they were suffering in their country of birth.

For clarity, ..., or apply for asylum in the UK from the other side of the English Channel
Kindly explain to the forum how they do that.

Are they? Ok, let them apply FROM their own country and if their application is successful, happy days, come on over. If not, stay put in your non-war-torn holiday destination country and get on with your life.
It's already been explained why it is not possible for them to apply from their own country.
But if you insist on going round in circles, please ask again.

Usual loutish drivel from the forum shoveller. If the millions of simps who spout the 'refugees welcome' bilge were strongly anti instead - don't you think politicians may change their stance?
I'm perfectly happy to accept any number of genuine asylum seekers. Just as I am more than willing to help anybody in distress.

Best advised not to leave any valuables about ?

Roll up yer carpets and put em in storage ?

Any thing that moves screw or bolt it down ?

Warn yer neighbours :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Do you honestly think your comments will dissuade asylum seekers coming to UK and applying for asylum?

What do you think will be achieved by your anti-foreigner rant?

Well the screen shot from the correct gov site doesn't show 6000 so pass.I doubt if the arrivals web site show numbers that would allow that sort of increase. Check of you like

Does a mafia need 6000 more? Rubber boats don't slip through now. The answer to the mafia is lock them up. The EU had a pretty massive drugs sting not long ago. UK - didn't take part. They managed to get a hacked encrypted coms package widely used in drug circles. Hats off to a bit of decent thinking.

I did hear about Priti and Albanian police. I took very little notice as no indication of what they hope to achieve so probably just more of the usual noises that indicate they are doing something. Results count. The talk doesn't.

Rwanda was an interesting one. Hotel shown on the TV. Rwanda saying they expect a few hundred. Gov says nothing about that. It's rather questionable if it would achieve anything. The numbers that could be sent there really ???????????????? Also the cost.

Numbers - currently there are 118,000 awaiting a decision. This page which supports refugees gives some interesting facts. The fact that they support is irrelevant. The numbers aren't.

It gives more info if people care to look at the various headings.

So we have decisions and we have rejections. We may have some that escape this system. The decisions relate to conventions and came about due to early wars. Other factors come into it as well. Until some one on comes up with an answer to all factors nothing will change. Clearing those here
now is already a problem. The correct answer to rejections is back to where ever they came from. Leaving them in France wont help that. They deport their own problems.

In recent years, the number of deportations from France has been on the rise: Statistics from the Ministry of the Interior from 2021 reveal that in 2016, a total of 12,900 people were expelled from the country, compared to 14,200 in 2017, and 15,600 in 2018.

I can only find daily rag type info for the UK

The social problems that you refer to are not caused by asylum seekers, but are caused by government not funding those necessary systems.

Again, this argument has been refuted over and over again, but you still go round and round in circles. If the government are anything like you, no wonder you and they can't find a solution to the problem.
