There were 161,000 illegal entries into the EU in 2021 compared with 26,000 into the UK by boat, 36,000 total. Not all get accepted in either case.

You might think that is the problem. Oh no in some ways it isn't. The back log in processing within the EU stood at 697,000 2021

It seems the EU over all has slightly negative growth rates. UK birth rate is 11.43 / 1000 against deaths at 10.16 / 1000.

That doesn't make sense. If a border is closed you cannot get through it legally.

That's was always the case with Australia. The difference is ..... more people die crossing water in a dingy than die from on flight services and choice of TV dramas and films

a) Do you interview candidates to get the best to suit your company?

b) Except anybody who needs a job?


However you are right. This country needs good law abiding honest immigrants just as you would want for your companies....

That I would hope will be investigated on every applicationfor asylum. Not something that's going to be apparent on a beach on the south coast before they dissappear into the night...

Yes it does. An open or closed border is merely terminology. Does the UK have an open or closed border? Do people cross into the UK without going through border checks? Is there an unprecedented number of migrants crossing the Channel and entering the UK?


Utter bollax....

The EU is the main cause of illegal migration into the UK, because of the EU policy of open borders
