Around 75% of the asylum seekers are granted asylum. So this is going to be a massive waste of time, money and resources.
Also, if we decide they should not be granted asylum, where do we fly them back to - the UK?

And it could end up costing a lot less and dissuade those from risking their lives on a dangerous sea crossing in a dinghy or would you prefer that?

Dissuade you say? What should happen is that these boats get shot to smithereens like the invaders they are. That will dissuade others.

The difference is easy to spot.

A Ukranian war refugee is a woman and child, as the men have stayed to fight for their country.

A migrant is a man, typically of fighting age, who bizarrely has left their women and children back in the "war torn" country they are escaping from.

I'm lazy and can't be ar5ed checking the specifics, but on the news earlier they were discussing a similar scheme set up by another country. I'm unsure if the destination country was Rwanda, however the scheme ultimately failed because many/most of those sent to said country simply fled to other countries once they were there. Many of them went full circle and then re-tried getting into their country of choice.

As the months roll by, it'll be very interesting to see how genuinely effective this initiative is.
