Lots of faults happen to both dumb and SM's, it would be silly to suggest otherwise, though there are faults which are unique to one or the other - so what?

Very very few faults occur with dumb meters the failure rate of smart meter is horrendous in comparison costing a fortune

No, you haven't. You tried to claim the compensation scheme was SM related - specifically to remote switching of SM's - WRONG.
Correct - in relation to the fact that you are no more likely to be switched to pre-pay or have your supply cut off with either meter. Still stands as fact.
That is not what I said, it it. OFGEM don't have the authority to impose an outright or indefinite ban on pre-pay installation. They do have the authority to request a pause or a halt. In fact, OFGEM have stated themselves that they do not want the practice to be banned.
