It’s proven dumb meters are far more reliable. No, they are different, not better.
If you door think reliable is better, then not much more to say.
Dumb meters are more reliable- FACT

Any time you'd like to discuss all the facts I have put forth, feel free to make a fool of yourself.
You and noseall regularly get accused of the same. You just want to be left alone to troll and bully people? Sorry, that ain't gonna happen.
Oh, and Denso was right about the courts handing out (home entry) warrants like sweets. Remember when you mocked his post?
I'm ready to discuss all the points if you care to dispute their veracity.
a helluva lot less which is why the MAM meter asset manager went to the regulator and were given permission to not work on them due to the horrendous costs involved .Are SM’s more or less reliable than a dumb meter ?
That couldn’t happen with a dumb meter.

They still work on Dumb meters and will continue to
Very very few faults occur with dumb meters the failure rate of smart meter is horrendous in comparison costing a fortuneLots of faults happen to both dumb and SM's, it would be silly to suggest otherwise, though there are faults which are unique to one or the other - so what?
Denso is that dense he thinks its down to training and as yet still hasnt even given the slightest insight into how he has come to that stupid conclusionIsn’t it funny how noseall and Denny are ignoring that one fact!
Almost like it totally destroys their argument!!

Smart meter software already being hacked at point of use Albanian gang in my town have somehow hacked the prepayment ones selling 40 quids worth of gas for 20 quid quite wide spread from all accounts .
Oh look, not so smart meters…..Prepaid Electricity Meter Fraud - Schneier on Security
New attack: Criminals across the UK have hacked the new keycard system used to top up pre-payment energy meters and are going door-to-door, dressed as power company workers, selling illegal credit at knock-down prices. The pre-paid power meters use a key system. Normally people visit a shop to...www.schneier.com

"irrelevant waffle"Oh look, not so smart meters…..
Nosealllllllllllllllll will be upset.
No, you haven't. You tried to claim the compensation scheme was SM related - specifically to remote switching of SM's - WRONG.I have done many times..
Correct - in relation to the fact that you are no more likely to be switched to pre-pay or have your supply cut off with either meter. Still stands as fact. The problem is you ignore everything as "irrelevant waffle"
That is not what I said, it it. OFGEM don't have the authority to impose an outright or indefinite ban on pre-pay installation. They do have the authority to request a pause or a halt. In fact, OFGEM have stated themselves that they do not want the practice to be banned. In fact your latest nugget, that offgem had no power, is even more hilarious.
Well...?That's not going to work as it is my username. People read my posts and are educated. Like yourself regards SM's or abortion etc.
I'm still waiting for you to discuss the article by that award winning, Cambridge educated economics journalist highlighting energy company agents, forcing their way into peoples homes and changing the ANALOGUE meters to pre pay. You remember, that link you put up wrongly thinking the compensation scheme was about remote SM switching and gleefully taking credit for it.
I'm ready when you are.
Incidentally OFGEM don't have the authority to ban SM switching (to pre-pay) nor do they call for an outright ban either. They actually believe it is warranted in some cases. Read more here.
