And as every RGI knows with a kitemark is OK for use on Gas Runs, while the formed sockets are not....

On balance I'll let you off just this once.
Think I might look into the Rothy tool though... Got some big stuff coming up and 35mm and 54mm fittings are firking expensive.
Any other brands you can recommend?
Been using my tee extractor for nearly 10years now and haven't had a single issue with a joint that hasn't held up with normal solder.
My local water authority did ban the use of this tool back in the mid-seventies
