Police Brutality

If i went and pushed someone over, is that attempted murder? If so, everyone in the entire world should be arrested and jailed for attempted murder as everyone has pushed someone over in their life...even if it was when we were a kid.

If someone was very very ill and just being jogged was enough to kill them would you be responsible for murder if you bumped them in the supermarket?

If you were barged to the ground by a burly [Really?? that is burly??] police officer when you were walking away with your hands in your pockets and within a few minutes you were dead
I would summise that as being pushed over [not being associated with attempted murder for the reason that it doesn't kill people] just happened to coincide with severe problems the guy already had. As such I wouldn't be stupid enough to go round calling the pusher a murderer (someone who deliberately kills someone).

And we're off ;)

I am too easily drawn on these things. I can walk away when the argument is opinion vs opinion but when someone is claiming someone was trying to end someone's life by pushing them over it just gets so silly that you feel you need to say something.

I'm sure you, even though you think the police were too harsh, don't believe the police were intending on ending his life.

Murder involves a premeditated intent to kill.

I don't believe this was the case here, unless Tomlinson (and his medical history) was known to the PCs concerned and this is another case for Columbo

The protesters are in possession of the most powerful weapon they could wish for - irrefutable evidence of Police brutality on video.

...which the police were cleared of after seeing all the evidence ;)

Out of all the thousands of coppers on duty that day only two felt the need to behave like the Gestapo. Either that two were right and the rest were wrong - or that two were wrong and will be treated with the contempt they deserve. Anyway, it won't happen again -

wrong wrong wrong, how very naive of you.

Those two were of the TSG, the Tactical Support Group, the group of 200 officers who, between them, have created 5400 complaints to the IPCC, one third of its total. The TSG are a bunch of professional thugs, there no different to the neo nazi football holigans who go to football matches for a fight. Thats the reason the TSG turn up as well.

Remember the SPG? The bunch of thugs who killed Blair Peach? The police group that basically triggered the 1981 Brixton Riots through there brutality to the local populace? When they disbanded it, they simply formed the TSG and recruited all there officers. TSG= SPG by another name.

The TSG use violence and brutality as an everyday weapon of policing. Of dor you think all 5400 complaints aginst them are invented?

Mr Tomlinson was walking away from the officer, hands in pockets and presented no threat to anyone, and specifically no threat to the officer who pushed him. If you or I had done what that officer did , we would have been charged with Manslaughter, at the least. The police cannot be above the law, that officer should also have been charged with manslaughter, as it was an unprovoked attack on someone offering no threat.

Similarly with Charles De Menedez, the innocent brazilian executed by SO9. Again, he was pinned down by one officer , restrained, clearly unarmed, clearly not carry a bomb, and he was executed in cold blood. The officer who shot him shoudl have been charged with murder and the idiot Cressida D1cks, who was in charge and wrongly identified him should have been charged with negligence.

Briefly, as I am about to go out.

Never said he was a threat. Point is he was asked to move and was clearly taking the p***. As I said before, it moved him didn't it.

Yes, if you or I had done it we would have been charged..with assault. That said we don't have a lawful mandate of crowd control and we weren't ordered to clear an area where one guy wouldn't move after being asked again and again.

He wasn't above the law, they did three autopsys....the first cleared the police...BUT they did it again...and when that was in conclusive they did another...none of the results led to anyone being charged . They were not 'above' the law, it is just you can't charge someone if they haven't done anything wrong.

He would have been charged with manslaughter if the independent experts had thought the officers actions led to his death. Obviously, they didn't.

I know that is not what you think, obviously you have psychic powers or something, but you have to accept that is what the independent EXPERTS with all the evidence say.

Murder involves a premeditated intent to kill.

?

it does. And Manslaugher is the killing of someone withour intent.

Tomlinsons killer committed Manslaughter, De Mendez's killer committed murder. And they should both have stood trial, because if you or me had been responsible for either death, we woudl have. The police MUST be subject to the same laws as us. They CANNOT be exempt.

I could'nt care less about the girl in the video getting hit , tough , what was she doing there any way , probably doe'snt even know her self , like alot of the idiot's that turn up to this or that , ask them what they are demonstrating about , & u get the reply ' what have u got' , far as I am concerned the silent majority in society are sick of student's ??? probably on some waste of time uni course , payed by the tax payer , on some globalization / capitalist demo gripeing about police brutality , who are all in favour of free speech as long as it agree's with there opinion's .

If that is a prerequisite for posting on here then I suspect many will fail.
