Public services? They are funded from taxation (with the MANY present taxes, plus inflation) and future taxes (debt). You don't think it's possible to fund them from sources other than taking income directly? Of course it is. We have many other taxes in-play.
Depends on your definition of 'rich'. I'm paying a lot of tax (not just income tax - add it all up). But I cannot see an NHS dentist. Is this fair? No, and I don't think it ever can be. I would much rather pay less (or no) tax, and pay for my own dentist.
You do realise that every US administration installs many of their own people when they take over? This is entirely normal. Arguably, it's an area where Trump was weak in 2016, as he was an outsider, so didn't have a team of trustworthy people ready (or know who to avoid). Hopefully he will do better this time.
