Rape gangs. Why does the Home Office minister not want a national public enquiry?

no.

this one.

ah so a police woman who has campaigned to expose the failing of the police force whilst the Conservative govt were in power

oh look:

"The Mayor of Manchester, Andy Burnham, (ex Labour MP) ordered an independent report on Operation Augusta, which was published on 14 January 2020. It found failings by the police and by children's services"

So that report found failings...........whilst Conservative government was in power

"Oliver claims that many the men who were involved in the abuse of the girls have still not been charged, arrested or imprisoned.".............so that is the failing by the police not the CPS

I thought you know about how the criminal justice worked, but you dont...........you seem to think if the police dont arrest somebody its the falut of the CPS D'oh!

it was 2005.
tozzer

She claims that the convictions that were made in the Rochdale child sex abuse ring of 9 men in early 2012 barely scratched the surface of what she describes as a highly-organised crime group of hundreds of perpetrators

The investigation started in 2005.
It was restarted in 2010
Prosecutors were 2012
2008 to 2013 Starmer was DPP

Motorbiking doesnt want this to be seen

"And in the face of fresh Tory calls for an Inquiry, the ex-GMP detective said Labour and the Conservatives were "equally to blame" for failing to get to grips with the scandal."
nope - lets get it all out in the open.

Maybe starmer and his team had good reason for his refusal to support prosecutions.

and now 5 wrong..

Lets see if you can get to 10.

The investigation started in 2005.
Motorbiking claims its all Starmers fault that the investigation in 2005 before he worked there was all his fault

Motorbiking then blames Keir Starmer for the failings of dealing with the grooming gangs, when the case was restarted when Conservatives took office

Motorbiking refuses to admit the Government hold the power to deal with these things not the CPS

Motorbiking gets 0 out of 10
oh dear

oh look Conservatives made gushing promises they would deal with the grooming gangs

Sarah Champion MP for Rotherham wrote a series of tweets in response to both Tory leadership hopefuls discussing how they would seek to deal with Britain’s “grooming gangs” scandal. Rishi Sunak has vowed to launch a “major crackdown” and blamed “political correctness” for the failure to tackle this tragedy.

At a live GB News audience in Leigh, a member of the audience asked Liz Truss what her plans are to confront the perpetrators of these heinous crimes to which she replied: “It is absolutely repulsive … I want the people held to account. The council officers, the councillors and the police who didn’t do anything about it.”

what did the Conservatives do: FA

what does Motorbiking do: try and blame Starmer from 15 years ago

that puts you on 9/10

I haven't blamed him. It would be good if he went on record to explain his thinking is all I have said.
Maybe starmer and his team had good reason for his refusal to support prosecutions.

one more to go, come on Notch, you can do it, just for me.

Anybody that makes decisions will make some bad ones.

Just a fact of life.

Those that never make a decision never get anything wrong, or right.
Starmy was never going to rock the boat with his political career in mind but his approach reflected society as a whole then, it was just that he and others were in a position to make a difference. Happy for there to be an inquiry if there are also ones for Orgreeve and the 84 Miners strike, plus plus russsian money and influence in the leave and remain campaigns on brexhit, plus russsian influence and money in the torey party. The list goes on. If you are going to use a public inquiry to damage a politician do it across the board.

It turns out it was Keir Starmers involvement that led to people being convicted

So instead of Starmer being to blame, he actually turned things around

Poor old Motorbiking made to look a right plum again :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

In 2011, Nazir Afzal, who at the time was director of prosecutions in London, was made chief prosecutor for the north west. He subsequently overturned the 2009 decision and a total of nine men were later convicted.

In a recent interview Mr Afzal recalled: “The only way we could bring that case was to admit that we had failed these victims when they had first made a complaint in 2008. Keir was 100% behind the decision to publicly admit that we had got it wrong in the past.”

Following these convictions, Mr Starmer appointed Mr Afzal as the head of a newly formed national network of specialist prosecutors for child abuse and sexual exploitation. Mr Afzal went on to oversee numerous convictions against other grooming gangs.

It turns out Keir Starmer established a new set of rules to prevent the previous failing from being repeated

An independent report into child sexual abuse in Rotherham, published in 2014, noted that prior to leaving the CPS, Mr Starmer had established a new set of guidelines around the prosecution of child sexual exploitation to prevent earlier mistakes from being repeated.

poor Motorbiking he has dealt himself a huge serving of humble pie :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Nobody is accusing him of blocking prosecutions due to islamophobia. Certainly not me.

10/10. Well done you.

You'll forgive me if I pass on the Guardian article as a source of fact. if you read the report however, you'll see when these guidelines were created. Right before he left in 2013. Horse, gate, bolting springs to mind. The prosecutions occurred a year before and the case building was 2 years prior to that.

maybe he just needs to apologise for getting it wrong. Humans make mistakes
