Rape gangs. Why does the Home Office minister not want a national public enquiry?

The Pakistani grooming gangs were quite devious in their selection of girls to groom. They were usually white, from disadvantaged backgrounds, usually known to the law and were receptive to drugs and alcohol. They realised there was no point targeting their own (well protected) Pakistani descent girls or girls from more 'secure' families.
There was a huge amount of victim blaming throughout. The police and large parts of the social services were amateurish and negligent. They didn't really believe that the children were being raped, so they didn't bother investigating.

The race of the perpetrators is often the focus, but the lack of interest in the victims is more shocking to me.

But let's get back to Motties latest "Muslims bad" thread.

The Tories. Now Labour have a chance to fix it. Do you think they will?
why didnt you make a fuss about a public enquiry when the Conservatives were in power?

for example: I didnt see you make a fuss about this:

Grooming gang review kept secret as Home Office claims releasing findings ‘not in public interest’

Exclusive: Freedom of Information request refused so ministers have ‘safe space’ to discuss policy

did the Tories implement the findings of the report in 2022 on Rochdale?

The Report of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse

On 20 October 2022, the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse published its final statutory Report, which was presented to Parliament pursuant to section 26 of the Inquiries Act 2005.

"They said Labour had supported the 2022 national inquiry into child sexual abuse under Professor Alexis Jay, adding the government was "working at pace" to implement its recommendations".

All good then. Labour "working at pace".
