Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Draft Bill

156,455 applicants for France.

97390 applicants to the UK - ignoring the 154,254 who came via legal routes
156,455
What is so hard to understand? 97390 *3 ≠ 156,455

She didn't even need to say it. She could have said France receives more.
so You admit whichever stats from whichever year, France take considerably more.

so her point is still valid

Youve done the usual dishonest debating technique of taking one specific point, but if you look at her comments in the round, they add up to a cohesive argument.

So now you understand why I said it would get stuck, because its not a manifesto pledge.
You mean 'could', surely?

Your manifesto angle is amongst a list of irrelevant cudda shudda wudda reasons. Do you want pointlessly to go through them?

The bill will not get through because ministers are not going to vote for it. Is that clear enough for you?

As I said in this thread. The right approach would have been to lease some land from Rwanda and strike an agreement that its a British overseas territory and create an off-shore processing centre. The Australian model.
That could be done much more local and for less expense than inventing Rwanda as a BOT.

But it's not what they want.

They want to be able to blame others. This time its the lefty lawyers, or international law. Anybody as long as its not those actually responsible

It's the typical unthinking scare tactic that so many fall for, and then promote.

"Boy it's bad now, but they will be worse."

Just not backed by facts. Experience tells you that a change is better than getting worse.

Why not, France, Germany and most other advanced Western countries are enjoying those “good old days”

Why does the UK have to suffer such huge inequality, we don’t need right wing governments constantly doing stuff to make their mates richer

This country has to break the right wing media that brainwashes the public into voting against their best interests

It will be much harder for Labour this time because of the damage the last 13 years of Conservative government.

I always thought Tony Blair had a very good instinct about just how far to the left the UK people were willing to go. The Iraq war was a disaster, not just for the obvious reasons, but because it destroyed his authority to rein in Gordon Brown's worst excesses. If it wasn't for that, he could have sacked Brown and his cronies in the middle of the second term. I think that would all have led to a much happier country than we have today.

It’s just political tribalism.

”it doesn’t matter how bad my team are, the other team are always worse”

Ah, here come the pre-excuses. Any more?

it is just simple fact.

public services are broken, yet Jeremy Hunt has put through a budget making £18b of budget cuts

oh and then there’s the £70 b of tax rises put through by this govt…covering until end of decade

oh and there’s the massive cost of debt repayment

oh and then there’s 8 million of NHS waiting lists

but Mottie doesn’t like facts……which explains why he still thinks brexyshambles is still great.
