Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Draft Bill

Wonder how much it costs to feed a child in Rwanda fir a week ??

Or send a child to school ?

Provide shoes for children ?

Or provide basic health care ? Like district nurses ? Or mid wife services ?

Water to remote districts ?

Electricity supply ?

A damn site less than the hundreds of millions the French scoundrels scammed out of the UK
They'll be able to afford it more easily now.

It might have been better spent on processing centres. Here, or France, or both, or other places too.
As Denso pointed out, the offer was on the table 2 years ago:
French officials have already suggested that British immigration officials process asylum requests in northern France from migrants camped out around the major ports on France's coast.

and after her little lobbying speech. Her answer was - because they don’t want to.

They are in fact perfectly cable of claiming asylum and being given protection in any one of those countries.

The one place they can no longer claim asylum in if they cross illegally is the U.K.
But they have a right to choose where to claim, and a minority of them choose UK for the reasons given by Zoe.

Good God, talk about flogging a dead horse.

Nobody is changing reality. The ones who come to the U.K. are perfectly capable of claiming protection in any one of the half a dozen safe countries that they pass through.

The simple fact is they don’t want to. They’d rather take their chances with a trafficker and pay 1500-3000 to cross the channel in a dingy.

Right to choose, thought they should be thanking their lucky stars they've escaped all those horrible things being done to them.
As soon as laws are passed that they go where they're sent across the eu the sooner we get to find out how many bona fide asylum seekers there are and how many chancers are involved. Then they get to maybe choose from their shopping list.

'The right to choose."
Many of those who make the perilous journey across Europe and The Channel do so because they've been seduced by the video's online praising the UK for its fair and just system, promising an easy life in a land flowing with milk and honey.
I know, right.
If it becomes clear that this is not the case the government is hoping this message will finally sink in and fewer migrants will seek asylum.
The problem with that is evident at the US border where record numbers of migrants are swarming through Mexico in an attempt to avoid gang warfare, poverty and climate change among a number of economic and social problems.
Rish! may as well sit himself down on the beach and try turning back the tide. A modern day Canut if ever there was.

The numbers are down quite a bit though. But its true, the traffickers have some very glossy PR that would put Kuoni and Virgin holidays to shame.

You could argue the £240 million paid to Rwanda is simply blood money to take a few helpless souls off our hands

I saw one of the videos postedd by an Albanian, standing in front of the London Eye, saying how wonderful the UK is. Obviously high on something. You'd have to be to stand in the middle of London and bang on about how clean the air is.
