Why would china lie as they are not stupid and they will be thinking ahead. Putin lied, and IMO no one will ever belie him again nor will most of his armed forces.

You forget that China as I posted recently has a lot invested in Ukraine's infrastructure the roads networks and they are I think build England a multi billion pound nuke station, so its not in China's interest to lie over something like this.

China is allied with Russia. What was previously said and done will become irrelevant. If war breaks out, China won't be on our side, and won't be building Europe's roads or our power stations. And China is not going to say anything right now that ****es off Russia or the West. Sometimes lying is the only sensible option.

It is my previous post a "matter of record" that Ukraine, their leaders not their people thought there was going to be an invasion until a few hours before it happened and that is a fact mate. Accept it or its a fact.

The USA and China are having talks. Publicly sort of threats on trade from the USA if they get involved.
Russia asking China for aid - unknown source. Personally I wouldn't take a lot of notice. China will play it in a way that suites them. They seem to see a boarder change as a solution by effectively saying Russia's interests should be considered as well. NATO figures too.

The building in Kiev. Unusual. What ever it was hit the main entrance and has damaged both sides of the buidling. A more contained explosion?

China in some ways has similarities to Russia in the early Soviet days. Large country with resources and totally different politics now globalised as Russia was eventually.

If I heard correctly evacuation from Mariupol is working this time. I saw one movement of refugees elsewhere and one gun shot ended it.

For something different Corsica has kicked off. One of their nationalists locked up in France. Due to be moved to Corsica but it sounds like he was killed by other prisoners in France before that happened.

The UN is pointing out that lack of grain and fertiliser is going to hit poorer countries hard. This usually means trouble apart from the obvious problems. Prices rocketing. Fuels too of course. Supply chains are messed up.

News reports state no joint presentation at the end of the talks today but this was expected.

The good news, new safe routes are agreed and more talks tomorrow.

I don't think we can believe very much atm . Even the BBC mostly just stand on the roof of their hotel. Why don't they get out and be journalists? Why don't they use drones - titchy ones?
We have someone quoting an anonymous source in the US gov, then pathetic Truss saying that was evidence.
Most of what's in the newspapers is speculation - even if the #1 prize plonker on a website claims it's "true fact" and that he's said so 14 times already.....
Reposting gossip on here doesn't really help much.

If I were Putin I'd hit any military installation I could, wherever in Ukraine it was. (He can hit New York so I don't kow why anyone's surprised he can reach the Polish border.)
Russia has experience of long campaigns recently. I can't see them running out of much. Reportedly it's estimated they have a couple of thousand more than the 600 ish long range missiles they've used. I would keep plodding away until I'd destroyed all the strategic military hardware, including any aircraft.
They can't clear out all the anti-tank missiles but they can hit any supplies once they're in the country, so when the ports are taken and airstrips are disabled or watched, that's easy. Then keep bombing towns until what's left of the Ukraine gov promises to never rearm.
It's civilians shooting at Russian forces now so they're fair game too.
