Someone is trying to start a war in the Ukraine, It's NOT Russia (edit: yes it is)

They did attack a Turkish owned cargo boat the other day, surprised they didn't kick off then. They certainly didn't hesitate shooting down a Russian Mig when it violated their airspace.

There was a sane man on C4 talking about this and it fits. The Russians haven't shown any signs of attacking cities more skirting them and being pretty surgical generally.

His concern is that Russia looses patience and get more indiscriminate. He's assuming a regime change.

:mrgreen: A view from an agnostic observer. I can't do anything about it. Propaganda means it's difficult to be certain about many aspect other than Russia has attacked. Ukraine has really been stoked up since problems started. Seems they have handed out 18,000 machine guns

Putin has been very clear what will happen if anyone interferes. That can mean all sorts including taking out a Polish airport if it is used to help. Roads or just about anything. I have rather nasty cynical views about that. Some countries would probably love him to do just that.

Something to maybe wonder about. Putin is 69 and it seems he has said he has no wish to serve another term. What ever you say about him he has improved the lot of average Russians and given the ructions there when the Soviet fell that can not have been easy and may well explain some of his dictatorial actions. LOL I Mean the only problem with Russia is Putin or is it?

Sanction? The world is a big place not all of it is us the west and I don't just mean China.

Dissent among the Russian population, dissent in the Kremlin, dissent among the Generals. Might be the end for Putin.

defence spending in Europe will have to increase significantly ??

as I under stand it the combined German french and UK

would be hard pushed to muster
