While Russia has been building a modern army, we have been building gender neutral toilets and safe spaces for 19 year old men who are frightened of words.

We're screwed!

You may say that but listening to a military expert on land warfare during a BBC interview on last night's nine o' clock news, he stated Russian military tactics were very similar to the early nineties, suggesting they've not advanced that far.
The hype of their hypersonic missiles doesn't mean they'll be useful in this conflict and after seeing that aircraft carrier steaming through the channel a few years ago i reckon our military capability is much more modern in comparison.
The American military is even more advanced in comparison.

Reports state that the Russians are deploying tank sized (?)

mobile flame throwers into the Ukraine ??

EU member states branded a disgrace..

EU member states branded 'disgrace' by bloc's ex-president Donald Tusk (msn.com)

EU member states were branded a 'disgrace' by the bloc's former president yesterday after they rejected Boris Johnson's call to eject Russia from the world's biggest financial payments system.

Donald Tusk rounded on Germany, Italy, Hungary and others after they vetoed moves to kick Russia out of the Swift network that forms the bedrock of international trade.

Mr Tusk tweeted: 'In this war everything is real: Putin's madness and cruelty, Ukrainian victims, bombs falling on Kyiv.

Your guess is as good as anybodies.

It seems that Russian troops are N,S and E of Kiev and may have been repulsed from the west but that is the route out. Photo's of reservists lying on a bridge with rifles in the west. That carefully mentioned by the reporter after mentioning the claim about driving Russia back.

Curfew in Kiev. Anyone on the streets will be treated as an enemy if they don't stick to it.

Ukrainian solders thought that some reporters were saboteurs. Got out of the car at gun point, mobile phone shot. Then allowed to go.

More shots of building damaged by things shot down that have been on before and a missile hit on a tall block of flats. Looks like damage restricted to 2 flats. Maybe 1. Impact caught by a security camera in one of the flats.

Some mobile phone footage of street fighting taken by residents but no idea where etc.

Reports of a heavy Russian push from Crimea by the sound of it and Russian troops behaving themselves followed by they were not.

A European security person same concern as me about supplying more weapons. Too late and he feels that it will result in Russia taking more action further west and way way more refugees as a result. Some taken away by police. No details about who or why. Don't know - age groups that should remain maybe. Pass.

Demo's in the UK. Want a no flight zone established and Russia prevented from using SWIFT. I doubt if many know what SWIFT actually is.

UN vote. As the president of that is Russian he had to mention all of the countries that voted on the motion which Russia promptly vetoed anyway. 3 countries abstained. China, India and the United Emirates., There is another UN group where Russia can't veto so going to do the same there. All more or less good TV - afraid that is how I see it. Like a lot of leaders flying around to show support and little else really other than weapons they didn't take with them anyway. ;) Boris missed a trick. He could have supervised unloading or helped with a forklift truck.

France is suspect on most things but I have to say well done on two counts today; intercepting the Russian vessel in the English Channel and thrashing Scotland in the rugby.
