if calories consumed are less than calories burned then you lose weight.. unless there is too big a deficit then your metabolism shuts down to protect your body..
in principle this can be true.... but take it too far.. e.g. starving yourself or missing meals and you body will start to hang on to the fat... apparently !!!
Diets are wrong.... ways of life are right... whatever you adopt, aim for a gradual success, for the rest of your life !! make it a way of life !
