Started My Diet...

he said that the stats proved it. I reckon ColJacks had a gastric band fitted.

Well even if he did, at least he decided to do something about it....so good for him.

(We need a little thumbs up icon ...they are a bit limited)

I should also have said that after a series of cardiac events, I have achieved the weight recomended by my cosultant, 69kg. Toay, I celebrated by having a fish tea which was absolutely scrumptious - fish, chips and mushy peas.

I probably am not the only one, but for the past 3 years or so, I use the stainless steel strap on my watch to monitor my weight. At the moment, because I am at my recommended weight of 69kg, my watch strap slips from the usual location down to the very end of my wrist. However, I only have to put on about 1kg and my watch, although still slack, stays put in the normal position. If I put on 2 or 3kg the strap becomes very tight on my wrist and anything more than that, I have to replace a link or 2. I have no intention of replacing links again, but I have said that a few times. :D

I thought it was my imagination that my watch slips around now. Never realised you get fat wrists.

Great explanation......my 'wrists' are half a stone overweight ....... don't feel half so bad now ...... chocolate here I come.
I'm ditching the carrot securespark :)

Had a great week-end eating all in sight. Result? Watch strap as tight as hell!

PS If anyone wants to have a go at the watch strap idea, note that the strap must not be elasticated and links removed (or strap adjusted) until the strap is comfortably fitted.

Put on weight and you will have to replace the links.  Take off weight and the watch will start slipping down your wrist. :D :D

PPS If you wonder why I put so much emphasis on maintaining 69kg,
this was the weight recommended by my consultant after my first heart attack in 1989.

for those keeping score or who care, I've now lost 158.5lbs ( 11st 4.5lbs ), or about 71.9Kg.. in 55 weeks...

that's a little over 1/3 of my original weight when I started my diet..

Awesome.

And don't worry about Joe/Loo. He has got a split personality.

Joe, PM me your private e-mail and I'll send you some topless photos to prove that I havent had any kind of surgery.. no scars on me anywhere.. :D

and before you ask, no they can't do it down your throat or up the other way with an endoscope so they don't leave scars..

you just won't have it will you..
I've repeatedly said I haven't had a band fitted or a bypass or any other type of weight loss surgery.. it's only a diet change.. I don't even exercise..

simple maths, if calories consumed are less than calories burned then you lose weight.. unless there is too big a deficit then your metabolism shuts down to protect your body..

If someone has severe psychological problems that allow them to balloon to three times their normal size - then that sort of problem doesn't just disappear. Are you on some kind of tablets?

nope,
and no psycological problems thanks, besides being overly shy around people I don't know, but that's because I think that everyone who sees me is thinkling the same kind of thoughts about me being fat that Joe obviously does....
everyone I pass on the street I think is thinking to themselves ( or saying to their friends when I've passed ) "Look at that fat git.. " and so on..
