Is anybody? The question about hard lockdowns does seem to something that needs to be addressed, evidence is suggesting they can do more harm than good.

You can never be prepared exactly by the nature of the problem, but there are some basics that can be in place. I seem to recall that not long before the covid pandemic there was a lot of ppe and similar disposed of? That sounds like the opposite of being prepared.

It is ever so easy to criticise the lockdowns with the benefit of hindsight, and although I frequently complain about how poor our current Government is, I accept that they reacted relatively quickly in the same way as most of the rest of the world. Unless anybody knew better it was difficult to suggest an alternative option should have happened. The question therefore is, is it right for next time.
