The AP is one of the worlds best regarded news organisations. I'd expect someone who follows the news to be aware of them.

The video shows the cop kicking the victim in the head, then stamping as a second activity.

If you think both were kicks then that explains your failure as a professional footballer.

But the reason for the difference in speed includes:

Complexity - complex situations mean it takes longer to pull it all together for court.
Severity - The Magistrates court works many times faster.
Guilty pleas - self explanatory.

Right now we're seeing the guilty pleas. There's hundreds of arrests left to make and hundreds more where charges haven't been filed yet.

The thug is suspended and is going to be fired. Why would I chip in to support his transition to prison?

Would you be happier with stamp then, rather than stomp? Surely, it has to be one of the two? AP use the word stomp, BBC and Sky use the word stamp. Daily Mail use stamping.
