It is the Cayman Islands!
There is no direct taxation (income tax, for the idiots that do not understand the difference between direct and indirect taxation). Thus there is no "tax threshold" for income tax in the Cayman Islands! Therefore, no-one reaches a tax threshold in the Cayman Islands.
Do not bother thinking about applying for a work permit. Plumbing is considered a low skilled or semi-skilled job, and foreign plumbers would not qualify for a work permit. Additionally applicants have to pass a police background check. So you have no chance.
Probably because their plumbing call outs is limited to unblocking toilets.
Which is even beyond your ability I would think.
