You missed out a word. And you'll never know what it is, because you can't Google for it ;it takes thought.(y)

The irony:mrgreen:
Even you must admit that what you wrote was utter tripe.
I could have said it was childish, like kids when they say I know the answer and you don't.
Well tell us what they answer is then.
No, because then you'd know it as well.

Absolute tripe, or childish, whichever you prefer.

Figure out for yourself, if you're as smart as you think you are. After all, you wouldn't want or need a "child" to give it to you, would you now?

I'll take that to mean you've recognised that there is now no difference between sociological and anthropological view that race is a social construct.
You should have googled it before assuming you knew.

And I'll take that to mean that you agree that anthropologists (who measure things i. e. objective, repeatable, and factual) were correct that race was not a social construct.

I've already given you proof that modern anthropology recognises that race is a social construct.

Well that will teach me.
I thought I would post a thread about something I find absolutely disgusting, regarding our national history and an animal which should never be erased from our heritage, and expected a modicum of sensible discussion.
I am left with no internet connection for almost 24 hours so try to get on using my phone. Didn't get the best of signals so gave up. Now, when I come in after being out all day, I find 7 pages of the usual insults, childish name calling and a load of dross.
Don't think I'll fool myself in future that one day this forum might actually produce a topic that everyone discusses like sensible adults.

Not that bothered if the name is erased or not

ImO it should not be

But hey ho

It's the way things are the vocal minority and the lunatics have taken over the asylum

dogs that cant be offensive should be left with a context and description pointing out how things change and now even thought possibly acceptable and well meaning at the time is now classed as derogatory when said by some aimed at others
where as statues from the past glorifying acts that are now seen as between offensive and evil should be moved to perhaps a museum under a section showing both the good from the past and evil in modern terms but in a way showing what was acceptable and fairly normal at the time
it is wrong to judge the past by now standards but when in a public situation outside away from museums or other places where a " context" description can,t allow us to understand the evils off the past statues should be removed if in general overly glorifying or go against modern acceptance

FFS man grow up, it's a dog.

interesting comment??
others will judge both yours and my words and decide whose are relivent :D

Yes, perhaps they'll even take spelling into consideration.

It's a dog, from a long time ago, get over it, let sleeping dogs lie.

The dog is buried in a RAF base - not really a public situation? Am pretty sure too that a context description could be added anywhere :)

There's a whole lot of things that are still out there that go against modern acceptance. Enid Blyton books for example - still available, still loved. I find it strange that a grave, of a dog, who's name is a product of its time and not in a very public place has been removed.

i am possibly dislexics to some extent i dont know as i have never been tested

when i left school in 69 [at 15]we had 2 streams and full employment you either went academic or manual technical college route
i then left with a school leaving certificate with no qualification as such as they were not needed as the path decided by society [probably parents]was the manual route as education was not important as such just a job as the path in life
now i realise you comments about spelling are very light hearted but for me is close to a brick wall where its i could spend 90% off effort getting the punctuation spelling and grammar correct but choose to get it perhaps 80% correct but give perhaps 10 times more good honest advice as a better use off my time and experience :D
