No, it was to do with a big argument we had over race and religion which got out of hand. I got insulted. I said some very nasty things in return and it spiralled. I hadn't properly understood where Sunshine was coming from. As I say, it was my fault.
If you were insulted how is it your fault he left?
It is very complicated. We were having a long discussion which didn't seem to be going anywhere. Essentially we were talking at cross purposes and didn't appreciate what the other was asking. But I later realised that is because we had somewhat different levels of prior knowledge about Christianity. I hadn't really appreciated how much knowledge my strict Christian upbringing had drilled into me and I can see that I took it for granted that everyone was the same. I can see now that I was being very unfair and dismissive. We both got frustrated and thought the other was trolling. I ended up lashing out and saying some really horrible things.

Thank you. The other thing which really upset Sunshine is the treatment afterwards. Sunshine was banned not only from that thread but from another thread which they had started and found very important. And then I compounded things the next day by saying I no longer wanted to engage. Basically, I have royally ****d up

The mod was over zealous to say the least. It’s standard for the GD now though.
He was a good bloke, I’ll miss him.
The legal system doesn’t work like that.
A first time offender might get a suspended, a career criminal not so much
