Nothing to do with a worlwide chip shortage that has curtailed new car production worldwide sending used car prices to record highs then .

When was this chip shortage?

2016
2017
2018
2019
2020
2021

guess brexit is also to blame for US drop in production since 2016

US interest rates -

Globally there has been a shift to Asia. People who used to buy Peugeots and fords now buy Kias.

According to some who manufacture in China, rising Covid numbers are a big issue still.

The OP should team up with Ellal and JohnD and start a combined thread with a title along the lines of "Hey, I’ve just seen a headline that I need to share that, if all the stars aligned, could be interpreted as bad news for the U.K. and I’m over the ****îng moon". They could then just be the only three contributors to that thread and maybe it’ll give them something to look forward to in their miserable, Brexit obsessed, Tory and U.K. hating lives.

Even the only pro-Brexit economist said UK manufacturing wouldn't survive long term without a great deal of support. He suggested they just let it die. The Government was warned both before and after the referendum, so its hardly new news..

Love the UK, you are the one who hates it with your Brexit holding back this country.

You are the UK Hater, you hated it so much you decided to cut it off from its nearest trading partners.

Brexiteers are a sad old lot...

They decided to shoot themselves in the foot (along with the whole country), and are now blaming anyone else but themselves for pulling the trigger!

The book is btw closed on the odds of getting a camel through the eye of a needle before any brexiteer comes up with a single benefit of leaving the EU ;)

Many of those who voted for Brexit were down and out and had little future prospects, they believed the lie that it was the fault of foreigners and the EU, when in fact the blame lied with the Government. So now we have a situation where the people do not see the benefits and instead of owning up to their lies the Government will just double down.

There is a german term called stab-in-the-back-myth where you blame someone or thing else for your misfortune, this is what the Nazis used against the Jews, they were being betrayed by the Jews.

With Brexit it's never pure enough so they keep blaming the EU, remainers, foreigners etc -

It's disgusting but it's all they have and the idiots on here like Motty et al lap it up.
