UK Car manufacturing doubled since Brexit

Love the UK, you are the one who hates it
Hey, U.K. lover, can you point us in the direction of any truly good news thread about the U.K. that you have started? You've been on here since 2016. Just one will do.

The problem we have in the UK is essentially, British residents are not patriotic to British products. In France for example buying French is part of the culture and they do it even when they know the product is inferior. Take Deezer for example. In Britain we do not seem to care. We buy based on quality and value.

There is "no made in Britain" premium. We accept the line we are fed, that German cars are the best and anything made in Britain is going to be over priced and inferior. For manufacturing we seem to prefer design, royalties, rights etc. and I can speak from experience that these things are better for your pocket and the environment.

Don't brexiteers like yourself pride themselves on saying how things are and not dressing them up - Brexit is self harm on a national scale - why should you try define it any other way.

The fact I don't want the UK to become some backwater is exactly why idiots like yourself need to accept the fact it was a complete and utter lie and what have they delivered?

You do understand there was.a democratic vote and on the back of that, we left the EU.

What is a British product - stamped British, assembled in Britain, imported into Britain then altered and sold on?

Capitalism people vote with their wallet - now you are against that?

Why should there be a made in Britain premium if that product is not premium? If you want to bring back manufacturing then ask Maggie and her industrialization policies, she followed the mantra of Minford - the infamous idiot and founder of economists for Brexit.

It was never defined that leaving would be, so why not have another vote?

It was a pack of lies and you are intelligent to know that, I really don't care if you have profited from it, for me it's made no difference but it has hamstrung the economy which will effect younger people - it was a selfish and self harm move.

So please bring out the economic arguments - whats happened since we left.

I don't have to, I was invited to vote, I couldn't really make my mind up one way or another. I didn't like the way the EU was heading, so I voted leave. I voted leave for the same reasons you voted remain. I don't have to account to anyone for how I voted. I liked Cameron as a PM, I was sorry to see him go.

I’ll take that as a no then.

Thanks. Couldn't prove my point about your so-called love of the UK any better than that.

I'm sure motorbiking will consent to the results of the next referendum.

Bloody hell! Really? What did you like about his time in #10?

He was able to compromise. I liked the coalition govt, it meant only reasonably sensible policies got through. I like any government that works on reducing the burden of the state, which is going to impact the UK's ability to compete on the global scale. UK politics can be very micro focused at times.
