Doesn't matter whose involved nothing has stayed the same in Europe. Yugoslavia's no more for instance.

But you include UK as one of the European countries that has had many wars with other European countries.

The EU was founded by men who had just lived through the worst war the world has ever seen. Nothing was more important to them than preventing a recurrence. As you say, it is obvious that their hopes have been fulfilled, among those countries that became members at least.

So now your agreeing with me that Europe's had a chequered past and therefore formed alliances such as being under the umbrella of nato after the second world war. America being the world's policeman who have recently begun to question whether they're putting enough money into the pot.
No apology needed it's what I expect.

Trying to work out what point you are trying to make. Why mention Europe's troubled past as if it is unique. It happens/happened the world over.
 
So according to Putin, the West have started the war and Russia are using force to stop it.
