The special military operation cold end today if Vlad the Invader chose to do so. But he won't...
Americans are very keen to keep the supply going to demonstrate their new kit: like the Switchblade suicide drone: small enough to fit in a backpack and much sought after by countries impressed by the way it's been used in Ukraine. The conflict has become a showcase for 21st technology and NATO appear to be settling in for another year as Putin attempts to wrestle control of Donbas away from Ukrainian forces.

20k shells arriving from Iran, well recently we were told that the Russians were using 60k per day.
There was a report the other day that shelling rates have dropped off to 1 for 1. Seems it had been 5 to 1 but not clear which side was at 5. USA comment that Ukraine's rate was unsustainable - might be a clue - pass. There has been firm reports of them wearing out barrels on USA kit and having to send it away for replacement.

The USA sent some high lift drones mentioning field medical supplies but footage of Ukraine using small drones to drop mortars. Might be these.

Zelenskyy has said he wont be defending Bakhmut at all costs. Some footage showing Ukraine fighting in that area looks rather arranged and small scale.

Ukraine have stiffened up martial law for soldiers. Seems this one passed. 2 more extreme ideas didn't.

China have started getting involved in negotiations. None of the news really seems to know what they are at or what their "plan" is. Some worry that they may supply Russia with weapons. USA.

Biden is negotiating another set of sanctions at the moment. Sounds like people orientated again.

Ukraine wants Russia's frozen currency assets. Interesting one as some fear that countries wouldn't be happy about holding USD reserves if this is done.

Russia had the advantage in artillery at the beginning. This is known.

It's officially spring in Ukraine.

Russia has been continuing to push forward but have been taking heavy losses. This is in part due to limited amunition and limited armour. Russia has adjusted it's doctrine to keep tanks further back in the offensive and use them as direct fire artillery pieces. That helps shield the tanks but it puts more pressure on their IFVs and infantry.

Wagner is now in the dog house, no access to convicts and the name has been banned on Russian media.

Bahkmut is still Ukrainian.

It's officially spring here, too.
Not as muddy, though.

Sounds like Ukrs HIMARS aren't quite as successful at hitting remote targets as earlier. Russkies are on about having upgraded their Anti-rocketry. How many they have, is a question.
4500 civvies in what's left of Bakhmut, poor souls, probably about to come under R control..
