I guess not. Easier without glass to smash through first.
Even the name 'Yahweh' is a guess. Nobody knows the way of würd or sound of the name.

The article was relevant to the persistent claims of Filly.B, that "Israel was there first" when, in truth, the proto-Israelite tribes wandered about the Arabian peninsula for centuries before migrations from the Horn of Africa pushed them north into Canaan and then into the Sinai.
According to the Bible, the Israelites were not indigenous to the region of modern day Palestine.
Ancient Israel was created in much the same way as the Israel of today was created and that was by, war and ethnic cleansing of the existing population.

I thought there was a UN resolution?

when America constantly vetoes these votes by member nations and Israel refuses to recognise the ICC?
America doesn't recognise the ICC either.
The Trump administration stated that no American will ever appear in front of the ICC.
If the ICC ever attempt to indict an American, then the Judges at the court will be sanctioned.
Trump made the above very clear.

In fact, how different was UN resolution 181 to Partition?, you got your own state, why shouldn't the Israelis?

Thats not quite correct.
The Irish Nationalists got their own state.
The six counties that made up N.Ireland remained part of UK.
Nothing changed.
There is no reason why the Israelis shouldn't have their own state if they can come to a satisfactory arrangement with the Palestinians.
If the Palestinians and Israelis ever make peace. The countries of the world would breathe a collective sigh of relief.

Latest is an Israeli minister talking about settlements in the West Bank and encouraging Palestinians to emigrate. Seems it's a nice place but poor and they can make it prosperous etc.

The same minister is involved in West Bank settlements. He's one himself.
Apparently they want the Palestinians to 'voluntarily' emigrate to the Congo.

Reminds me of Hitlers plan to 'encourage' the Jews to emigrate to Madagascar.

I'm more or less in agreement with you.

I'll add one thing. The IRA were bad, very bad, and largely funded by Arabs in Libya. Can you imagine, for one ,moment, the IRA rolling up in your part of Belfast and killing 1200 people in a single night, killing babies and children, be-heading and raping and burning children alive?

Would you want to accept that or would you want retribution?

That must be why the British Government sent the RAF to bomb Dublin every five years, killing hundreds of thousands of Irish citizens, and destroying cathedrals, schools, hospitals and vast numbers of homes.

Thereby causing permanent peace and friendship.

Oops, my mistake, no they didn't.

Would you want to accept that or would you want retribution?
Thats a good point.
When the IRA bombed the Cenotaph in Enniskillen killing a lot of people at the remembrance service, a bloke called Gordon Wilson was injured while his daughter was killed, his daughter died in his arms at the scene.
When interviewed in hospital, he appealed directly to so called Loyalist Paramilitarys not to carry out reprisals against innocent Catholics, in fact he was almost begging them.
He saved a lot of lives, the Paramilitarys issued a statement saying they called off planned reprisels out of respect.
Thats the difference between N. Ireland and Israel.

Sillyboy promoting false and misleading claims again, and again, and again.
There was a UN Resolution, which the collective Arab countries never agreed to.
But it was imposed on them anyway. It was their land. It was not the UN's land nor anyone esle's to give away.
Therefore the UN Resolution was in contravention of its own UN guiding principles, especially Articles 1 and 2
I'll post just the first clauses of Article 1 and 2 to illustrate how the UN Resolution was in contravention of its own principles:
Article 1
1. To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace;
Article 2
1. The Organization is based on the principle of the sovereign equality of all its Members.
Article 1 was contravened by the UN Resloution 181 because it created a conflcit where none existed. The UN were fully awarec of the Arab refusal to accept the resolution, but they imposed it anyway.
Article 2 was contravened because it removed the principle of the Arabs sovereignty over their own land, and created inequality.

I trust you can see how the UN Resolution was initself illegal, under the UN Charter.

Now let's look at the UN Resolution, which contained several important clauses not respected by the Jews (They weren't Israelis at that time)
Equality for all
This has evidently never been respected by Israel.
Their own Governments can be set up two months after the end of the British Mandate finishing.
The Jews had a government in waiting for the minute the British left, and they set up their new government within minutes.

There was absolutely no authorization for the Jews to evict Palestinians. They did so in Jaffa. 700,000 Palestinians were evicted at the point of a gun. They were herded towards Gaza, a newly created refugee camp for Palestinians.

PALESTINE/ISRAEL: Haganah troops occupy Jaffa (1948)

Haganah were the 'terrorists' that operated in Palestine while the British still occupied it.
  • Haganah (Hebrew: הַהֲגָנָה ha-Haganah, lit. 'The Defense') was the main Zionist paramilitary organization that operated for the Yishuv in the British Mandate for Palestine.

The Resolution also mandated that Jerusalem would be an interntaional city. The Israelis have occupied Jerusalem and made it their capital in defiance of the Resolution.

So stop within the obviously false narrative that the Jews accetped the UN Resolution. They claimed to have accepted it, then they immediately violated its terms, the terms that didn't suit their obectives of taking more land and subjugating the Palestinians.

For the umpteenth time, the conflict did not start 7 October 23, not even in October, not even in 2023, not even in 21st century.
Israel has been subjugating, killing, torturing, imprisoning and generally humiliating Palestinians since 1948.
If you provoke a caged animal suffciently it will respond. It's inevitable. Even the meekest animal will respond to prolonged cruelty.
And all you've achieved is to create a vicious animal from a timid one.

And nearly 400 of those killed were military, but Israel never mentions that.
In addition we do not know how many civilians took up arms. We know that the Israeli government have been issuing arms to civilians.

And there's been no independent verification of the beheading of babies, etc.

Uganda (ironically) was once muted as a place for an Israeli state.
Israel did not have a state of their own at the time.
Palestine does and did have a state but it's been occupied by Israel for decades.
