VE Day 75 years later: The real story of how Britain won WW2

Hawker, Avro, Supermarine, Rolls Royce, Armstrong Vickers, BSA, Webley and Scott, plus a whole host of manufactures who switched production from everyday products to weapons or items required for the war effort.
Raw materials?, women queued up to hand over their aluminium pots and pans, Town Parks were stripped of their wrought iron railings (still evident today), when we ran short of metal, we'd conceive planes made from wood like the Mosquito.
We were quite a resourceful nation, and a very determined people.
So all home grown....

Not talking about European countries

The geographic location of this country strong leadership, our airforce, army and hardware

Where did the hardware come from?

Who would have ordered this hardware where would it be delivered too
Who's ships would have protected the merchant shipping. And who would have used it..... If Britain had folded like the rest of Europe?

This country stood alone and all that sailed on her....

You are saying all our hardware was made in the UK until the US entered the war in 41

No you must have me confused.
If the British Isles were German, America would not have joined the war.

They would not have Liberated Europe from New Jersey.

They would not have operated from Iceland

They would not have come up through Africa.

Europe would be lost and the Americans could have done nothing.

Lots of maybes and ifs and buts

Nobody has said that, arms manufacturing took place in The Commonwealth as well, there are no precise figures, only merchant shipping tonnages, this site details UK manufacturing.
The figures are impressive.

I think Crystal is confusing himself.

Britain traded goods from around the world for hundreds of years. Immigration has existed in the Britain for years before WW2.

It wasn't a new idea just to win a war.

There we go, not alone
