psyklists
Only to motorists who think they have a God-given right to overtake, irrespective of whether it's safe for them, AND OTHER ROAD USERS, to do so.
I treat psyklists like I treat horses, they're often illogical & unpredictable & should be approached with extreme caution.
The local friendly neighbourhood lorry driver summed it all up so well in t'pub yesterday. What politician was it that demonstrated the blind spots on a lorry by placing all those psyklists around it? Lorries are probably the biggest things you can come across on the road, psyklists are probably the smallest, he finds it incredibly difficult to see them, especially when they're crawling up his inside when he's indicating to turn left. He finds it incredibly difficult to comprehend that they don't seem able to see him.
When I were a lad, me and my mate decided to cycle to the Forth Bridge on our BMX's using mainly country roads. I'll never forget the sight of my mate cycling in front of me. An articulated lorry went thundering past. It didn't seem to affect me, but it created some sort of air turbulence and I saw my mate wobbling then being forced over into the grass verge. Although looking back I understand we were foolhardy to set off on such a mission, the thought of him wobbling then falling over makes me laugh to this dayI treat psyklists like I treat horses, they're often illogical & unpredictable & should be approached with extreme caution.
