We're having a party

I guess you really are that stupid.
It was the desired result from policies designed to make it happen.
If you can't work out why then you are worse than stupid.

Along with sooey, JohnD, you can add George Calloway, Ken Livingston, Derek Hatton, Dennis Skinner, Gerry Adams, to those who welcome the death of Maggie.
What's that about measuring somebodies worth about the enemies they have.

You can add a lot more than that. Why do you think they will NOT be having one minute silences for her at various football and even cricket matches? Well it wouldn't be very silent would it?

You can also measure someone's worth by the friends they had.

Pol Pot and ex-General Pinochet for a start.

What you have to ask yourself is:

Were you better off in the 70s pre Thatcher than you are today?

If the answer is 'No' - then you must thank Thatcher for that.

As Andrew Marr said. "Love he or loathe her, one way or another, we are all Thatcher's children".
In 1970's Britain, your children would have got jobs, and could have bought houses. They would have learned to be useful and respected members of society.

Today?

There are families with three generations of unemployed. They have learned to be useless spongers.

Labour promoted the welfare system when they took power in 1997. Its what they always do. So blame them for the useless spongers.
The tories are making some headway in reversing their folly.

Up to half a million fraudsters are set to lose disability benefits as the government pushes ahead with plans to rid the system of abuse and fraud,

Way to go. :D

Fraudsters fine. Nobody needs them.

But what I disagree with is the system the Tories have put in place to cut out genuine cases: that is dreadfully flawed.

Atos is paid to get people off benefit or prevent them from claiming in the first place.

Genuine cases should get what they rightfully need. They should not have to fight tooth and nail for it and attend tribunals.

Disgusting.

the tories actively encouraged encouraged people to go on the sick in i think it was the 80s to bring down the unemployment statistics

and UP TO means less than, could be 12, it could be 1200, could be 12000. It doesn't specify

Benefit fraud is estimated to cost the UK £1.5 billion a year according to figures published in the National Fraud Indicator 2011

From that figure you tell me how many it is?

benefits are given to approching half the population so difficult to work out where the cheating is happening

Well thats what you get after years of labour rule. The innocents take a hit also.
Thogh I'd be very surprised if you can document a single case where the tories are genuinly cutting benefits to the needy.
More leftist propaganda me thinks.

the party music has moved to number 1

(and it wasn't me buying them all)

That's more than a little hypocritical of you John. When I made a comment about the future passing of messrs Blair and Brown, you posted -

I will be having a monumental celebration.
So you agree with the principle of celebrating the death of a politician you dislike.

Now you seem to be advocating the very same thing you critiised me for.

Not very consistant!

That was an observation, not a criticism, and not hypocritical..

You will deserve to be criticised if, having said that you approve of celebrating the death of a politician you dislike, you complain at anyone else, celebrating the death of a politician they dislike.

Have you done that? If so, consider yourself criticised.

But why did you highlight what I said about Blair and Brown for to make an observation?

What is so remarkable about it that it needs quoting for you to make an observation? Is it because the recipients of my distaste are of the wrong political hue?

I don't understand what is so remarkable about what I said, especially when you are doing the same thing. It's not just me that thinks this -
