What have you been doing today?

Popped to B&Q for some plywood and Halfords for some car touch up paint for my wife's car. (FIL scrapped it yesterday when he came for afternoon tea in the garden).

Now going to mark out my plywood for a cutting pattern as I have been asked to make a prototype childs BBQ.
I know one little girl who is going to love coming over to grandads later this week.

I’ll give this thing a thrash in the morning. The engine has twin inch and a half SU’s and I’ve no idea what size the engine is but it seems pretty swift.
Interestingly, one of the discs had worn down to 4.8mm thick

From memory they were originally 1098cc with inch and a quarter SU's so it might well be uprated, the last one I had was far from swift. Always preferred me Spitfires.

I thought they were 1275’s but that cylinder head couldn’t pull twin 1 1/2”s so who knows.
Anyway they are hopelessly out of sync so that’s a job for tomorrow.

Just had a phone call from work regarding a health survey I filled in last week.
Because I have CKD and got a letter from the government I will continue to be furloughed until the 1st of August.
I'm in two minds about it. I want to get back into my routine but I'm enjoying my time off making things in my shed.

Today I have been replacing the sand between my pavers that I blasted out yesterday. One grain at a time to string the job out. Oh, and I paid my corp tax and considering the financial help I’ve received and yet to still receive from the government, I was happy to do so.
