Bloody cat!! Not content in getting me up early (5.40am was the first attempt today), she's bleeding stealing my mail..!

But, yeah, all winnings are set to go back into more bonds. It's a standing joke in our house - Partner and dad tell me how much they've won, then ask me how I've done....

When you hit the maximum permitted 50,000 bonds, the winnings will start appearing in your bank account.

Could be any day now....

Constructing a new desl top for my wife.
Her old desk was falling apart so she bought 2 base units with top drawers and asked me to make her a desktop for it.
Couple of 7 1/2" x 1" boards shoved through the planer, biscuit jointed together and some quad beading around the edges.
She likes the way it is shaping so one happy wife who can carry on working from home on a bigger desk once I get it finished.
Keeps me in the good books. :)

I got a text today.

HMRC: You might be eligible for the government's new scheme providing help to self-employed people impacted by coronavirus. Get ready now. Search 'Check if you can claim a grant through the coronavirus Self-Employment Income Support Scheme' on GOV UK

I think my account will deal with it
... Hopefully
Sorry Bodd, I don’t think they will be able to. Our accountants sorted our furlough wages as directors/employees of our limited company (no charge as they run our payroll too) but today they sent out a generic email so I got that anyway. According to them, SE people must do it themselves:

“HMRC have announced that the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) will be going live soon with the possibility of being able to submit claims for grants from 13th May 2020.
HMRC guidance states that accountants are not permitted to submit claims for grants on behalf of their clients. Therefore, you will need to submit your own claim online.
To check if you are eligible for a claim you should use the HMRC checker using the following link (you will need your ten digit Unique Tax Reference (UTR) and National Insurance number) : -
https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/self-employment-support/enter-unique-taxpayer-reference
If you are eligible to make a claim, HMRC will ask you to provide your contact details so that they can use them to remind you when the online service is available. This process requires you to have a Government Gateway account. Therefore, if you don’t already have one you will need to apply for one as quickly as possible.
This is not optional and you MUST have your own personal online Government Gateway Account to be able to submit a claim”.

If you haven’t already got one, apply for your Gateway account now as I think it takes a couple of weeks.

It rather looks like the north side of Kielder, maybe towards Deadwater Fell.....the area views are constantly changing due to forestry work.
Astonishingly beautiful.
