What have you been doing today?

Had a guest join me for dinner tonight.

I gave her a bit of my fish and she nearly took my hand off - I definitely felt teeth. Sharp teeth! There was some sauce on the fish and it smeared onto my fingers so I licked it off. Mrs Mottie went potty - telling me how I very probably now had rabies. Apparently all foreign cats and dogs have it. lol. It wasn’t a wild cat - had a collar so somebody’s pet. Anyway, the cat made me her new best friend and wouldn’t leave me alone so I gave her some of Mrs Motties chicken too. :ROFLMAO:

Ahh it seems any Greek/Mediterranean holiday we've done we've temporarily adopted a local stray cat, always gave them names, I bet you'll have given this one a name before long.

A different one this morning. I’m getting a following. He went off to sleep.

Casino night here. Mrs Mottie won - most chips left at the end of the night! Yep, she was so pleased she won a free bottle of wine until I reminded her that we are all-inclusive and we just have to ask for a bottle of wine and they will give us one. Or two. Or three. As much as we want! It’s all paid for!

Oh, I had the smallest amuse-bouche ever tonight. Could have done with a pair of tweezers to eat it with! Mmm. So filling………

Simple job, but turned into a bit of a mare...

Bathroom PIR fan, failed some months ago. I only just got a roundtuit. I checked at the fan, using voltstick, it seemed no live there. I wired it to the ceiling rose, so I opened that up, to check at that end, seemed live, was live there. Began suspecting the rare chance, of a break in the cable itself. So began tackling taking the rose down.

I have always struggled and hated working on ceilings at the best of times, but the clown who wired the rose, had used all the wrong colours, all singles, looped all the neutrals around the upstairs from that rose, but looped the live from a different route, although ending the run of lives at that rose - weird. To add to the problems, who ever wired it, had twisted the earths into one bundle, and all the cables were barely long enough to reach their terminals.

I got myself in a right mess, due to the wrong colours being used, and struggling to sort it out, on the ceiling - yet testing the cable to the fan, it was absolutely fine, for now, I've bypassed the PIR/timer - it now runs, when the light is switched on. I'll investigate the PIR module, once I get it on the bench and another roundtuit.

Here's one for you.....
