What have you been doing today?

Went to the wedding yesterday and our places on the tables were marked by an old photo of each person. The bride and groom had asked my mum for some pictures of me and picked this one!

All night I had my sister bringing people up and showing them the picture to which the normal question asked was “What happened”?

Sore upper arms from the covid and flu jabs on Thursday, so I didn't sleep so well Thursday night. Lack of sleep and maybe reaction to the jabs, I felt really under the weather, much of yesterday. I slept like a log last night, and feeling pretty normal this morning, though arms just slightly sore.

Coming home from Warwickshire today we stopped off at Bicester village and I saw a man from the country that started the virus get a nasty slap round the head as I went into the toilets. The reason - he was bending down blowing his nose, footballer style, into the hand washing trough! I heard him blowing his nose as I was going in and as one bloke was just leaving he cuffed him on the back of his head whilst calling him a nasty name. The man that got walloped looked stunned but did nothing. Perhaps that’s what they do in their own country?

We went to Bicester village a couple of years back, I picked up a Levi jacket and a few t shirts but the rest of the shops were a little pricey for my pocket.
I saw a plaited leather belt in a window that looked superb, no price on it. Mrs filly said I'll go inside and enquire, I said 'don't be daft, it'll be something mental like 60 quid', she came out a few minutes later and told me it was on special offer for £400.
She eventually tracked down a similar quality belt with a company called Brook Taverner, I believe it was about £60.

Yeah, I think everything up there was overpriced - even at the 'discounted' price. I get better bargains in the sale in my local department store. Bought one thing - a pair of fur lined indoor slippers for Mrs Mottie from the White store. £30 instead of £45.

CBA to cook anything tonight so I called in and placed an order for fish & chips to be cooked in my local chippy while I was popping round my mums. I noticed that my next door neighbours daughter had got a little part-time job in there. When I opened up my order at home, I had the biggest bit of cod I'd seen for a long time. I may have got neighbours perks.

Took Mrs Mottie to see Dick and Angel (of escape to the Chateau) at Cliffs pavilion theatre in Southend. I bought her the tickets as a stocking filler last Christmas as she was a fan of the tv series. It was dire! We left in the interval and we weren’t the only ones!

I was never a fan of the tv series, I felt they both over-egged it, much as he did, in the things he appeared in occaisionaly in the UK.

Having a tidy out of the car and found this that Mrs Mottie collected from our table at my nephews wedding last week. She said everyone had one. I think he's been on that ChatGPT app. I won’t burst her bubble though, she thinks they both sat down and composed 80 odd of these poems! :ROFLMAO:
