I've already had my small business grant and my March/April JRS payments for myself and my wife. Very efficient. They don't seem to be making a bad job of promptly sorting these payments out, do they? Haven’t heard anyone moan about it. Yet.

Correct. My fellow hole digger is eligible tomorrow a.m. Its simple enough. Have your tax reference and your N.I. number handy. Then your log-in details. Then your bank details etc. They (HMRC) instantly quantify your eligibility amount and tell you that it will appear in your account within a week.

All those who have been late paying their tax bill, have queried it or deferred it - need not apply.

Similar here. Four houses in our road owned by different generations of same family. Grandparents in one, daughter and husband in another, grandson and partner in 3rd house and other grandson, partner and 2 sprogs in 4th house. Like the bloody Waltons. Constantly in and out of each others' houses - all four generations mixing. Crazy because the grandparets are around 80 years old. Not a brain cell between any of them.

That's the thing. They're not scuzzers. They all work, one for a bank and another for The MOD. Another has his own business. If they were under class I wouldn't be surprised, but they ought to know better. If this sort of thing is going on all over the country, we can't lay all of the blame on the government for the dire stats we see every day. There's a lot more to it.

Well, it is income so it must be counted as such. You will only pay tax on it if you reach certain thresholds. Due to the upset to many businesses, sadly, many won’t even be around for the next tax return.

Mrs gave me a 'covid cut' today, number 6 with the electric trimmer, doesn't look too bad if I'm honest. I did toy with the idea of just brushing it back, maybe a bit of gel or brylcreem, until their was enough for a ponytail, then I thought, no, don't be a tw@t.
