What have you been doing today?

Mine all done, roll on the next 6 days.

Andy

One thing you need to be aware of. I read that you can claim maximum of £7500. If this lockdown has made a significant effect on money earned.

If I read this right... If you have been earning as well as you was before. Then you could have this £7500 taken back in next year's tax return.

That's if I read it right

I've spent nearly the entire day waiting for Thames water to sort out the blocked drains again. Still waiting at 7pm and we called them last night. We've old broken waste drains that service 6 properties in a row but they won't reline because it doesn't block often enough. Well, us getting raw sewage in the garden every 7 months or so seems often enough for us... wish we didn't have the manhole cover in our garden.. sigh!

Whoever put our shoite stack in, clearly didn't appreciate the physics of "direction of flow".
The poo pipe discharges into the chamber, against the fall towards the road.
So, ablutions flow not out and away, but gather a bit ......

My maintenance routine? Every few weeks, fill the wheelie bin with water, and flush the whole lot through. Keeps everything moving and fresh (y)

See my post #1013. That was done within about 4 hours of reporting it by Thames water.

It won’t ALL be taken back next year. It will be classed as income so depending on how much you earn this year, you could pay tax and NI on that £7.5k next year at whatever rate you hit.

Been back to work.
Got presented with a long todo list.
Unfortunately this lot I have to do and cannot put off like the wallpapering lol

The way I read it is if it substantially affected your earnings.
How do you quantify it? That statement is ambiguous and open to interpretation. Also, the threshold for qualifying was £50k and the amounts awarded relative to your profits.
