What have you been doing today?

Been doing a lot of sanding and staining to produce this from a slab of sycamore I picked up yesterday.
The original surface was full of ridges made when being cut. Belt sander seen to them and then a few hours of orbital sanding working up through the grades to finish with a fine 240 grit. Couple of coats of stain and I now have a very happy wife.
Original intention was to use it for blanks in my lathe but that soon got the kybosh when my good lady seen the patterns and suggested a nice table top for the patio. Have to admit I'm quite pleased with the result.
(There are hidden fixings underneath to prevent it being knocked off but it weighs a bloody ton anyway! LOL)

Me neither. In fact, I have never drunk coffee in my life (barring a couple of mistaken, spat - out mouth fulsome the stuff), when I went for my tea.
You are just like my missus. She hates coffee.

I have a cup of tea first, in the morning then a strong cup of coffee.

Always on the sniff to a) keep busy b) make a few bob at the same time.....

As everyone's car is clean / polished and garden machinery is running well, dammit :(
'Get yer garden furniture repaired here' - cheap(ish) - Oriental chairs and tables sorted, got a load of treated timber and stain from Wickes so enough tasks for 2 weeks!
New slats for your B&Q bench, with cast ends £60.

Embraced two cases of Laithwaites red....Cabalie 2019 :) But if that fails, Apothic red, generally available around £8 - £9.

John :)

I bought this about 18 months ago and I haven’t had an instant coffee since. It’s proper spoiled me.

When I was a nipper, the smell of coffee made me physically retch.

And, to be truthful now, I like the taste of tea so much, I have no need nor desire for coffee .
