tell me , what things are wrong with it ?
what i know it needs is driveshaft beRING, DISCS AND CALIPERS, BUSHINGS.
There's nothing wrong with having a car that almost nothing works properly on anymore.
let's think of a quick list on my veritable Jag.
Doesn't want to come out of park fairly frequently
In stop start traffic it throws a gearbox error.
Central locking doesn't work properly
rear parking sensors don't work.
Leaks water into the cabin from somewhere
Aircon defunct.
In car entertainment system display blanks out occasionally
Throws a park brake error sometimes.
Engine warning light comes on sometimes
Got a persistent coolant leak.
Got a persistent slow puncture.
Windows don't wind up properly
Apart from that it's great, it has "character"
Tell that to the judge when the discs, calipers and bushes fail while driving.
Andy
Apart from that everything else is minor as far as im concerned
Apart from your smoking handbrakeI fitted the calipers discs and pads at the rear 18 months ago, no problems at all with them. replaced front pads 6 months ago, no problems at all with them
you are a very negative person to be around
I WOULD NOT CLASS BRAKES AS BEING MINOR!

The question is, why is there oil on the outside (not in ) the throttle body, quite possibly turbo as ar has done almost 200k. Some one has suggested pistons but I really think not. The car is displaying no symptoms of pistons wear, it has oil leak but as I say it may not be turbo but it seems far more likely than pistons
When it’s warmed up and running, do you get fumes puffing out of the oil filler cap when you take it off?it does not have any piston issues at all
