Quite a lot of posts from what I can see, getting more like big brother all the time.

Moz, if you insist on writing posts suggesting that you will kidnap, drug, rape and murder people, you should expect to be deleted.

This is the most interesting and enjoyable thing I have read about yorkshire puddings ever!! (only thing I've read about yp ever!)
Personal preference is for the huge pan sized pud cut up for the plate, and it is such a long time since I last had a 'proper' steak and kindney pudding, the big family sized one boiled for hours in the oven, that I am going to pester my mum (grandma now) to do one for my birthday :D
We need a return to good old fashioned slow cooking and teach our kids to enjoy food and to relish in the seasonality, regionality and simple pleasures of good basic unadulterated flavours of traditional fare. :)

How did your mum become your grandma?? You've got some funny ways in Gloucestershire!!

It would be nice but I don't think life's like that any more.

lol, Thought if I didn't say she was a grandma you'd think I was some 8yrold kid sat at my pc!
Life doesn't need to be like that, we can fight back against the tide of Mc D's and their like, simple stuff like a proper roast and even organic veg can persuade kids to eat properly, try reading Hugh Fearnley Whittingstalls book about meat, you'll see what I mean. Or visit: Riverford.co.uk , Themeatrix.com is an odd take on factory farming and slightly amusing.
Always amazes me that so many people save pennies by buying cheap badly prepared food and yet are quite happy to spend thousands of pounds on a certain brand of car just to keep up with the joneses. Everyone should take more pride in the food they put in their mouths, I am prepared to say that food generally is too cheap these days, mass production and lower prices at the true cost of poor health, nutrition and a complete lack of flavours.
Oh dear rant over, I'll get off my soapbox and back to my west country hovel ;)

Steak and kidney pud, arrgh yes, remember to soak the kidney's first overnight if poss, and rinse well through, unless you want your meal to smell like a urinal whilst cooking :D

Completely unnecessary.

Anyway - what's favourite:

Steak & kidney pie, i.e. baked, puff pastry crust

or

Steak & kidney pudding, i.e. steamed, suet crust

:?: :?: :?:

Can't wait for dinner tomorrow......
