Zion and the Art of Armageddon

And a strict enforcer of planning laws.
Although He writes the laws to suit Himself...

Israel justifies demolishing Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem by claiming that they have been built without permits. The municipality typically only allows majority Jewish neighbourhoods to build new homes. The legal discrimination has forced Palestinians to build without permits, rendering 28 percent of Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem “illegal”.

Palestinian and Israeli activists believe that advocacy to protect Palestinian homes is needed now more than ever. With municipal elections approaching on February 27, Abu Diab believes that candidates may be deliberately calling to demolish more homes to appeal to their constituents. He said he fears that the far-right candidate, Arieh King, who is currently deputy mayor of Jerusalem, could become the next mayor. King has previously stated that he aims to limit the building of Palestinian homes in order to protect Israel’s character as a Jewish state. In December, he posted on X, calling Palestinians “subhuman”.

...Untermensch
was the favoured word to describe people who didn't fit in with the Aryan ideal, wasn't it?

"The voices in my head told me to do it" are not an excuse.

Since 2015, the UK has licensed at least £474 million worth of military exports to Israel, including components for combat aircrafts, missiles, tanks, technology, small arms and ammunition. The UK provides approximately 15% of the components in the F-35 stealth bomber aircraft currently being used in Gaza.12 Dec 2023

Just listened to a pundit (Brit) on AlJ who explained why there is an ICJ hearing on apartheid, Simple really - it would trigger off all sorts of things including arms controls and aid. He mentioned 3 arms suppliers. US, UK and Germany so was curious where we fit in. According to the pundit the judges will have to consider Israel's laws.

Wanted the news but a rep for the OIC is speaking now. Might be the last one. That group represented a population of 1.8b in 2015. Likely to be more now.

African Union came next. Looks like more similar to come. That one mentioned the US using International Law correctly in another situation. Also quoted a number of rulings.

Meanwhile...

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has announced the resignation of his government, which rules parts of the occupied West Bank, due to the escalating violence in the occupied territory and the war on Gaza. “The decision to resign came in light of the unprecedented escalation in the West Bank and Jerusalem and the war, genocide and starvation in the Gaza Strip,” said Shtayyeh, who submitted his resignation to Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday.

An interesting move, considering the imminent destruction of Hamas ability to launch attacks from Gaza, and it implies the PA are prepared to work with Israel and America in order to extend their influence over the partitioned Palestinian state and regain control with a view to negotiating a future unification of their country.

That would be an interesting development. Particularly bearing in mind it was Israel under Netanyahu who have been secretly propping up Hamas for years.

The PM of the PA has resigned, awaiting their president to agree. This fits in with talk of a new form of the PA who currently is not popular with the average Palestinian. Who will be in it - pass. HAMAS and FATAH etc have been mentioned. Some form of political alignment. All a wait and see really.

C4 has a clip of life in the west bank. Believe it's on youtube. A film crew following a Palestinian family. Settlers figure.

They're waiting to see who emerges from the rubble and how much damage has been done to Hamas. If a deal is done to release the hostages then expect the IDF to finish offensive operations by mid-spring/easter. America will be into the election year and Biden will have more important things to focus on - like staying in a job.

Biden reckons that there could be a ceasefire by Monday. When you hear his comments on the TV listen carefully.

The idea is one before Ramadan but still includes evac.. of Rafar and an eventual attack. Not during Ramadan other than maybe the evac....... Biden seems to think this period will allow further negotiations

Rumours 40 hostages release and 400 Palestinians also released. HAMAS - there are still differences that need to be sorted. This offer as it stands puts them in an "interesting" position.

This is antisemtism now.

Israel's supporters insist that anyone objecting to racism, apartheid and genocide is "anti-semitic."

They clearly have a very low opinion of Semitic peoples such as Palestinians and some Jews.

It appears the jewish extremists on the Israeli side (whom netanyahoo relies on in government) don't want to go and fight for the country they believe is 'god given'

The cease fire details come from a Reuter's report. 40 days. It's being seen as a US plan. No official announcements.

Benjamin feels that he can do what he likes while he has US public support mentioning a high % that do. BBC have been asking around in Israel and it seems that a very high percentage of Israeli say they wont back off this time if the US ;) or the UK ask. They will just carry on. The US did publicly ask Israel to not over react once to my knowledge over some other problem.

Interesting comment, BBC. Biden intensely dislikes Benjamin following many years of trying to deal with him and it seems that he is a major obstacle. Lieing cheating and other factors. This area has been mentioned by other US admin people - can't control them.
