154 mph

It's an unanswerable question I know, but I'll ask it anyway - what makes one wish to travel at such high speeds?

Driving a car at high speed on a straight requires no skill. Just about anyone who has ever gotten behind a steering wheel could do it.
Now driving a 300bhp Group A Subaru Impreza through the hills of Donegal is something different and requires the utmost skill.
Here's a cockpit view....

no other country could make bikes or cars like the Italians ;) (in my opinion)

Indeed, some other countries make cars that are reliable and don't dissolve on contact with water. :)

Yes i was the proud owner of a 131sport in Fiat racing red, thats orange to everybody else, yes it did rust, a bit  but what a car, it was like driving a go cart with a 2lt engine, this was the car that defined "$h1t to a shovel"
However as the Fiats started galvanising there cars with the introduction of the Tipo, they dont rust anymore.
Ps urban myth, Fiat does not stand for "fix it again tomorow"

Ugg Firestorms handle like a shopping trolley with a stuck wheel!!!

That fugly beastie is nowhere as sexy as a Katana, but then again they didnt handle the best either lol. Whats that one like?

It was a stop gap because Aprilia delayed the launch of the Mille several times, and i'll have you know it handled worst than a shopping trolley, open the throttle and the front wheel came up, put the brake on and the rear wheel lifted, useing the rear brake not advised, they should have stuck to the SP1/SP2

have to say................there seems to be an abundance of sexy bikes in the garages of the diy notters :)

note............blackpool is a good stopping off point for a trip to the lakes

(have own leathers and helmet :D hint hint)

Good stuff, one thing I have not done is taken a bike around the lakes.
Last time there was in a Ford Scorpio, spent all the time in sport mode :D

went round the back roads .....on an FJR 1300....with a brilliant rider......one of the best rides ive ever had!!!
