Honda Blackbird, and it was still accelerating, but the road was short

;)

A few years back there was me on the Mille leading the way (scenic route via Stow in the Wold) up to Donington, my mates were on a Bus, Blackbird, cbr600 & an R1, we stopped en route for a cuppa and they remarked how fast i was going, i had kept to a steady 90mph, their odo's ranged from 105/125mph.

About the same time MCN did an article on various bikes speedometers, the Aprilia & Ducati were spot on, all the Jap bikes lied on the side of caution, the worst being the Honda SP2, the odo read 180 the true speed was 150mph.

Sorry but if they were on the side of caution they would have showed slower would they not?

Anyway you can tell 90 from 110 easily if your used to it. Even by engine revs.

No! if you're in a 30 limit & your speedo is showing 30 you're actually doing 27. when you're showing 50 on the motorway in the roadworks your actually doing 45 & as trucks are calibrated on a regular basis to something like +or- 0.01kph they are quite accurate hence they always seem to be speeding in the contra flows.

Anyone ever watched Ghostrider, Uppsala run, on you tube. There's a real nutter.

I can get into second gear when pulling off my drive.

I think i might need some testosterone in me horlics.
