Buy a decent net for the trailer, heavier items will still need a rope/ratchet strap. Half the job is packing stuff in well so it's got no room to move.
I charge £200 when working on day rate. I don't do commercial work though.
I suspect that I should be charging more though. I occasionally employ other decorators when I need them. They are not as skilled as me and often don't even own sanders or dust extractors. They end up using (read: abusing my tools).
From time to time, I will employ them purely because they can drive.
That said, about 15 years go I employed a labourer, primarily because he could drive. I was working off Baker Street. Parking worked out to about £60 per day and would have required the car to be moved three or more times over an 8 hour period. I paid him for a whole day (£80 plus petrol) once we had dropped the tools off, I let him go home.
Not having to drive in west and central London really can make life easier sometimes.
If I had to travel 15(?) miles to central London during rush hour, I can do it in about 40 minutes on the tube, that would be more than twice as long if driving.
At age 18 I used to drive the minibus from the Hope & Anchor pub nr Tottenham to King Charles St to work in the Foreign Office refurb. If you arrived b4 08:00 you could easily find a parking place & there were'nt any meters in those days. Still 'wet behind t'tabs' I wasn't the biggest earner in that bus but I was still pulling £800+ pw for 50-60hrs !

As I previously mentioned, I don't drive, but many boroughs, such as Ealing have 20MPH limits on, nearly all, of the streets under their authority and 90% of the area is a controlled parking zone. They seem to be proactively punishing drivers for daring to have cars.
