Might as well just have put taxes up for working people. It’s going to cost them more anyway, just that it will go towards the supermarkets and not into the government coffers.

Never trust Labour ( libour) it will be interesting to see what happens at the next council elections,

We should have carried on with the Tories I guess?

Look what they did. People have short memories.

It's going to take time to change things.

Labour haven’t lied.

They said they wouldn’t put up income tax, employees NI or VAT and they didn’t.

Yes they put up other taxes…..but if you have any better ideas where money for NHS comes from let’s hear it.

The BofE expect an increase of 0.3% but also wage pressure , 4% increase. They are still bugged by service sector inflation as well. The BofE also look at several ways that the NI increase could be handled - or more bluntly it's effects.

That 0.3% needs to be compared with rates of pay. This is why Labour can say that at the end of the planning period 90% of people will be better off.

An area that I haven't looked at during our tight times on food in general is just what has happened to supermarket profits?

That wasn't the wording, the word 'employees' is your addition, Labour stated NI or VAT.

Please show us the wording you are quoting. Are you thinking of the sentence that begins "Labour will not increase taxes on working people...?" Do you think "working people" includes employees? Is there another sentence that mentions National Insursnce?

I don't think it said "Labour will not increase taxes on employers." Do you think it did?

we will not increase National Insurance, the basic, higher, or additional rates of Income Tax, or VAT

Tough sh1t, Jeremy Hunt cut employee NI when he had no funding to do it

It was a dirty trap by Conservatives salting the Earth before they slunk off.

And you support these arze holes, shame on you

Nice bit of moving the goalposts editing after you were caught out John.

Slick.

"The Conservatives have raised the tax burden to a 70-year high. We will ensure taxes on working people are kept as low as possible. Labour will not increase taxes on working people, which is why we will not increase National Insurance, the basic, higher, or additional rates
of Income Tax, or VAT."

Employer NI is a tax on working people.

Plenty

Look at where some of the money goes. £10s of bn on people drinking too much, taking illegal drugs, illegally coming here, or simply being too fat. The cost is huge. You can add the numbers up yourself, but it easily exceeds Rachel from accounts funding gap.

Sounds like conspiracy theory nonsense to me - and I thought you did not like conspiracy theories.
